The monogram is for St Michael and All Angels, but the church is dedicated to St Lawrence. Perhaps chosen from an early Victorian catalogue by an enthusiastic churchwarden who didn't know what it meant?

I did these in the style of Aubrey Beardsley. He did keys similar to this on the back covers of the Keynote Series. I like the idea...and somehow this will play into a new series I am working on.
These cookies were for a bridal luncheon. She requested to have hot pink, lime green, yellow, and bright blue implemented in her cookies. These were the result. .
