Sorry...for getting a bit repetitive...

The River Tyne is formed at Warden Rock near Hexham at the confluence (meeting point) of two rivers, the North Tyne (with its source in Kielder, Northumberland) and the South Tyne (with its source in Alston Moor, Cumbria).

The river flows through Corbridge, divides Newcastle and Gateshead, divides Jarrow and Wallsend and flows between South Shields and Tynemouth before flowing into the North Sea.

The River Tyne is crossed more than 20 times, by a variety of different bridges and tunnels. These include, the New Tyne Tunnel, the High Level Bridge, the Tyne Bridge, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the King Edward VII Bridge, the Constantius Bridge and the Ovingham Bridge.

The Victory Column (German: Siegessäule, from Sieg ‘victory’ + Säule ‘column’) is a monument in Berlin, Germany. Designed by Heinrich Strack after 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Second Schleswig War, by the time it was inaugurated on 2 September 1873, Prussia had also defeated Austria and its German allies in the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and France in the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71), giving the statue a new purpose. Different from the original plans, these later victories in the unification wars inspired the addition of the bronze sculpture of Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory, 8.3 metres (27 ft) high, designed by Friedrich Drake.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on this photo it's very much appreciated!

Stay safe my friends 💜

Some conversations I have with ghosts in my head lately:

Me: Hey! Do you like Charlie Kaufman films?

Ghost: We don’t really watch films in the afterlife.

Me: What ?! Oh no! Well, I’m not dying today then!

Me:What about having a body? Do you miss that?

Ghosts: What is there to really miss about an ever deteriorating corporal entity?

Me: I was just thinking it might make it easier to dance, that's all.

Ghosts: Can you compensate us for our time?

Me: Can you explain the metaphysical properties of compensation in the afterlife?

Ghosts: Nevermind. Please leave us alone!

Street photography in Zurich, Switzerland. This time at the airport.

The stairs get a little more creative as you get near the top of Brady's Bluff. Trempealeau, Wisconsin.

In a different lifetime, I was a concert photographer and that's all I really did with photography (aside from some street photography.) This pandemic has really gotten me to open up with my work, especially more abstract compositions. I never thought I would ever photograph nature or random street remnants, for example.

Of course, the pandemic seems to wax and wane much like the moon but I do meet my former self from time to time to strike up a conversation, make sure she still exists and that she's taking care of herself. She's a little withered around the edges but I suppose with a little bit of TLC, she'll show improvements again.

Last night, I photographed the band Squirrel Flower and Lightning Bug was the opener. I really loved the beautiful folk music she played (she did a solo set though the songs are fuller on her Bandcamp). Her voice is luscious!
