An 'Outreach' team was based at the Garden of Eden (Zurrieq) to monitor migrating birds, watch for illegal hunting and to engage with any visitors or locals who turned up.

Today I returned to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary which is a location which offers many photographic opportunities. My challenge today was to capture wildlife using the 500mm catadioptric lens. The cat lens is a tricky challenge in itself e.g. very difficult to hand hold, very difficult to focus, very narrow depth of field, muted colours. One of my rules with this lens is that none of the images taken using it will be cropped - mission accomplished.
