Los monitores deportivos del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal, entrenadores de varios centros educativos y de escuelas formativas del cantón Chone, Tosagua, Bolívar y Canuto, recibieron este jueves 1 de diciembre un taller de capacitación en innovaciones deportivas, el evento fue organizado por la coordinación de Deportes.
Telmo Hidalgo Barreto, chonero de nacimiento, ex jugador del futbol profesional, campeón con Barcelona en 1985, ex decano de la facultad de Cultura Física de la ULEAM, magister y actualmente realiza un doctorado de Cultura Física en Cuba, y Jesús Cornejo López, cubano de nacimiento, doctor en ciencias pedagógicas, magister en educación física, ex profesor de la Universidad de La Habana, y actualmente catedrático de la ULEAM, fueron los exponentes del seminario.
La actividad física sistemática, los estilos de vida, la salud, higiene y primeros auxilios, fue la temática que abordaron los conferenciantes, y que fueron muy bien captados por los asistentes al seminario taller.
Jaime Zambrano Bermúdez, en nombre del Alcalde, Deyton Alcívar Alcívar, agradeció a los expositores y asistentes a taller, indicando que el hombre evoluciona día a día, y que del mismo modo hay que capacitarse para estar preparado al servicio de la sociedad.
Hablar de actividad física, no es hablar de campeones olímpicos y mundiales, es hablar de plenitud de salud, de capacidad de estudio y de trabajo, es una vivencia universal. Es la antítesis de las drogas, del alcoholismo, es el remedio preventivo de diversas enfermedades que matan. Es hablar de la calidad de vida que debemos llevar cada uno de nosotros los seres humanos día a día, enfatizó el maestro cubano Jesús Cornejo López.

Transparent monitoring approaches refer to datasets, tools, and portals etc. that support countries in their current monitoring efforts with a view to land-sector CO2 emissions. A considerable amount of independent, publicly available data and platforms on land cover, land use and associated emissions sometimes leads to confusion and misinterpretation, which must be avoided. The Transparent Monitoring project has identified a set of criteria designed to overcome challenges and strengthen the effectiveness of greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring in the land sector. The graphic shows which criteria are particularly relevant for each stakeholder group. Stakeholders are grouped into four ‘dimensions’ that help identify information tailored to their needs and roles: technology, governance, community participation and engagement, and the private sector.

El Ayuntamiento de San Martín de la Vega ha tomado la iniciativa de impartir nuevos cursos de monitor de tiempo libre en el municipio. Para empezar con las clases, es necesario un total de 20 inscripciones, de lo contrario, se suspenderá y se procederá a la devolución del importe de los inscritos. El curso constará de una parte teórica y otra parte práctica, las cuales se deberán superar para obtener el título de monitor de tiempo libre, homologado por la Comunidad de Madrid.

The USS Monitor
During the Peninsula Campaign in the spring of 1862, a variety of innovative weapons saw action. But nothing captured the public’s attention more than ironclad warships, in particular the USS Monitor. After its epic duel with the CSS Virginia at Hampton Roads on March 9, 1862, the Monitor next found fame here at Drewry’s Bluff during the battle on May 15.
Contrary to some reports, the Monitor, despite its squat turret, did not have difficulty bringing its guns to bear. Commanded by Lt. William N. Jeffers, it fired steadily against Fort Drewry. The Confederate cannon, after bouncing a few ineffective rounds off the ironclad, turned their focus to the vulnerable USS Galena. This proved to be the Monitor’s last major action.
The Monitor went down on December 31, 1862, sunk in an Atlantic gale off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Sixteen crewmen died, perhaps including some of the men who posed in the black and white photograph taken in July 1862. In 1975, the wreck became the nation’s first National Marine Sanctuary, administered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The turret of the warship emerged from the waves in August 2002, raised by NOAA and the United States Navy. It is on display at the USS Monitor Center at The Mariners Museum in Newport News, Virginia.
