I've had this same folding table desk since around 1996, and it's time for a change I think. I'm a somewhat frugal guy, so I've been thinking on it for quite a while. Assembling the Boa™ monitor arm by Monitors in Motion.

First rough grind, followed after with 60 grit & a deburring finishing wheel on all the edges. It was a day of dodging rain storms, this is some of the last of the steel work for the station upgrade.

It was decided to make use of the ergotron adjustable monitor arms for both the monitor and copy board , the face plate or mounting plate are shaped to match their wall mount profile which is a "squat-top eliptical shape" and kept minimal (slightly larger than the mount) so the operator can see easily around it into the performance space when there are in-studio guests on various programs (both talk & music).

The basic elements/parts for the fabrication of the monitor arm ( Seen Here & Here welded, finished out pre-paint ) for the computer LCD screen to sit over board so board can open fully (be serviced), an ergotron 19 inch attached to this arm that so it can be positioned close to the operator's eyeballs. raw parts are marked w/ yellow pencil for cuts, hole drilling and attachment welds.
