Due to a fault, my Sanwa monitor didn't work with arcade hardware, only PC-style kit. I built this circuit to rectify the problem (based on the circuit diagram and description here: www.tkk.fi/Misc/Electronics/faq/vga2rgb/scart.html). It was a PITA, but it worked.
Designed specifically for Reuters, this allows the keyboard to slot into the monitor.

This little chap was a bit jumpy and lived under the drain near our pool in Lombok. I used my 70-200 with a TC whilst waiting in the pool with my camera resting on the edge. Eventually he came out again!

Technology is great because when left in an abandonment it's easy to tell how long it's been untouched. This factory/corporate headquarters closed at the end of the 1980's and they just stacked up monitors when they locked the doors.
If you happen to run dual monitors, here's a nice background for you. As a bonus, if you're running one 1024 pixel high screen, this also works nicely since Forrest is only jumping on the left hand side.

23" Asus IPS, was only $180 at Fry's. I'm pretty impressed with the color rendition for the price, it's not really any worse than my four year old Apple monitor that cost four times as much when new. Had to get some speakers to make up for the loss of the built in ones on my old monitor as well. You can barely tell I'm using a Mac at this point, lol, if it weren't for the keyboard it'd look like a typical gaming setup.

The divers are working from the Derrick Barge WOTAN, the main support vessel for Phase II of the Monitor 2001 expedition, the sixth NOAA-Navy expedition to preserve the historic vessel. The ship went down off the coast of Cape Hatteras, NC, in 1862 during a severe storm.

This shot gives a better idea of the proportions of this small Australian goanna as it rests against the side of a tree stump that was about waist high.
It is Spotted Tree Monitor, Varanas scalaris, that grows to a total length of about 60cm (1.9'). I found this one on travels a few years ago resting on the side of a hollowed out tree stump. Since then I've learned this sort of place is one of their favourite places to hang out and in.
