Macro photography after rain storm in Southern California using Samsung Galaxy S9 and Moment macro lens.

The iPhone in combination with the "Moment Lens" already creates an enormous wide angle, which I didn't even manage with the 12mm Samyang. However, I had to mirror the interesting architecture a little so that the building would be symmetrical.
Crazy what one can shoot nowadays with a smartphone...
C'est dingue ce qu'on peut faire comme photo avec un smartphone...
The Menzies Centre, Hobart, Tasmania.
The Centre is a medical and research training facility in the city. The exterior of the building is intended to represent the contours and waterways of the surrounding nipaluna country.
I also shot this as a long exposure but thanks to slab grey skies, the test shot - with some actual cloud detail - ended up being better :-)

The Temperance and General Mutual Life Assurance Society building in Collins Street, Hobart, Tasmania.
Designed by A&K Henderson in the 1930s, there were around 20 near identical buildings constructed by the T&G across Australia and New Zealand.
Apparently six of them are still standing.
This one is a beautiful Art Deco period gem in the heart of the city.

Located just south of Boston, Forest Hills Cemetery is quite impressive. Taken with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, with a Moment 18mm lens mounted.
This little bee found its way into my house. After flying around for a bit it landed exhausted on my aquarium and fell in. I fished it out and tried to take a quick pic before letting it free outside.
Lake Will lies below the southern face of Barn Bluff which mountain is somewhere in the murk behind the ancient Pencil Pine on the shore.
The lake is a glacial remnant and feeds Bluff River which flows into the Murchison River then eventually into the Pieman and finally into the Southern Ocean.

About midday, I realize that it's time to begin considering something for today's 366 project. I gather the iphone, a coffee cup, and a fern leaf and dart toward the light flowing through the kitchen window. I move things around a few times and still don't have something that feels soulful to me. Then my friend, Lucio, walks in to ask a question. And this is how it happens. Doors open, and options reveal in the moments when you most need them.
All of this brings us here, an image of his hands. He is such a kind person, and he didn't even think twice about accepting my unusual request. Then again, most folks know if they stop by the house, it's likely they'll be in a photograph, smiling.
Thanks so much for following and supporting this little project of mine. I appreciate it.
I'll see you tomorrow, xo.

Another frame from a beautifully grey afternoon beside the sea.
iPhone 14 Pro Max, Moment 1.33x Anamorphic Gold Flare Lens. Moment Camera app. 15 secs at f/1.8, ISO 82.
I'm not sure why this and a number of other frames have turned out almost exactly at the XPAN 6.5 x 2.4 crop when de-squeezed. I think that the phone aspect was set to 16:9 maybe. None of the details are in the exif (a jpg). It's full size ;-)

Tasmania is experiencing some typical Spring weather. The southern Jet Stream is visiting strong to gale force westerly weather over the island with plenty of rain and alpine snow as appropriate.
This frame shot on the phone with a Moment x1.33 anamorphic lens. Have had it for a while but waiting for some good light to see how it went. Park Street, Hobart suburb of New Town.
Overall impression, optically, is that the lens is not too bad and I'm happy with the purchase. This frame is a pretty hard test but only 12MP.
Still trying to work out if shooting in pro-raw (48MP) is worth it for later post-work as apparently pro-raw is not actually a RAW file.
