I've always loved this photo.
I remember the day I took it like it was yesterday, although it was nearly a year ago now. I was with my best friend, Dan, at Luane's, hangin' out and takin' pics.
Tears are forming in my eyes as I type this.
Dan passed away in May this year and I miss him horribly. Last Sunday would have been his 50th birthday; and man, did it hit me hard.
Today I saw this pic in my gallery and thought, "I've joined a lot more groups since i made this pic...I should honor the memory of my friend and revive it"...so I did. I hope someone gets joy from it. We had a great time that day.
We shared many laughs and many tears. His memory lives on in so many hearts.

Usually Egrets and their heron cousins do their foraging while wading in shallows or waiting patiently along shorelines. This Great Egret to my surprise hovered over the water and picked a small fish from the surface while it's feet dragged a bit in the water.
Spring is again
with the sun and rain
but always joy is
and i wish for you all only this...
Spring has colors deep inside
and magic is side to side...
flowers are all over the world

It can happen at any moment when "that moment" happens.
Usually in my case I miss that moment....
On this occasion I was set up for a perspective shot beneath the L tracks when I saw "that girl" at the corner. She smiled as she waited for me to take my shot. With a smile in return I waved her across. Thank you.......
