More Coral Slime Mold from yesterday and a more head on shot. I think I prefer this pov as it creates depth. It took a 143 shot focus stack to get the depth of field.

This is a slime mold spore capsula. It is about 2.5mm high.

A nice find yesterday in Stakebank Woods. I think this has to be my favourite slime mold.. Nothing to look at by eye but so gorgeous through the macro lens.

Lovely little find today and some Coral Slime Mold. I've been wanting to find this for ages! Only a small patch around 5mm across but hopefully more to find in the coming months.

The Promise of a Better Day -
Fungi and molds usually I don’t look twice unless it was affecting more than four walls or they spoil my table grapes. That being said, it was impossible to skew my eyes away from an ordinary yet fanciful rot by the wayside. I studied it closely. I figured it had been there for a trillion hours. Completely wasted of living tissues, now skeletons are the remains of what was once an eight-legged creature with a name. Furthermore, liquid silk of spiders did accrue out of the hull. Is it the soul liberating from decay to renew life in a different way? The florets on top appeared pretty as snowflakes I daresay. Albeit looking quite similar, no two are the same. Dandelions I called them, are the most independent perennials. They flower where they want. No one plants them. They are free. Who-o-oooo! A gentle blow, I make a wish on the tallest and most beautiful. My friends, may our inner fire arise against difficulties in times of trouble; let everyone be lightsome and free like dandelion seeds eloping with the breeze. At the graveyard of grief, I did not weep. The little balls of sun eclipsing the dark reality made my sky smile.
Molds and mildew are filamentous-form fungi.

Molds come in various colors while mildew is white. Mostly, people spend a lot of time trying to get rid of them both. I am glad no one has done that with these growths of mold and mildew. They have painted a nice abtract mural on an old garden wall that runs along a public path.
