It was year 2011 and I had my first proper camera which I used to learn the basics of photography. I had just gotten my self a tripod which I was eager to get to use.
I was at my parents cabin and it had been a warm day. I was feeling sleepless so I decided to get up out of bed and looked out of the window. There was a beatiful mist over the river "Tornionjoki" (or Torne River?) and since it was begining of August the sun would not really set and it would not get dark all night.
I took my camera and tripod and went to the river and it would turn out to be even more beautiful than I would have ever thought. At the same time I could see the sun rising in the north and the moon shining to the south and this magical mist covering the widest part of the river. What also made the night special was the almost but not quite cloudless sky. I have been trying to catch the same conditions on the same place after updating to "better gear", but have not found quite such conditions.
