Module Building

Though many varieties of module builders and even combined module builder pickers exist, a typical module builder is a large trailer that is moved by a tractor and remains stationary when used. The wheels are often hydraulically retracted when the module builder is operational. A module builder is about 30 ft. long, 12 ft. high and 10 ft. wide. It works similarly to a garbage truck. When loading the cotton from the cotton picker into the module builder it should be distributed as evenly as possible. After loading the cotton into the module builder, a hydraulic compactor moves up and down along the length of the machine. This process is repeated every time that a cotton picker is unloaded into the module builder until a module is built up and discharged through the tailgate of the machine. The module is stored on the field and the module builder is moved into a new position to build up another module. The weight of one module is about 10 metric tons. (22046.2 lbs.)

In 2002 the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) dedicated the cotton module builder as an historic landmark of agricultural engineering, naming it "one of the top three inventions in mechanized cotton production.”

This stand held the module when it was out of the orbiter cargo bay and was sent to the Smithsonian along with the module.

The re-entry module is the middle third of the Soyuz vehicle. The round orbital module and cylindrical service module are jettisoned prior to re-entry. This design allows more actual living space than an Apollo module on a smaller footprint. But it does kind of look like a bug.

Danke Frank! :)

Ambities

- Klant centraal: gezond, comfortabel en veilig

- Duurzaam: energie neutraal, liefst energie positief

- Flexibel: zowel aan binnen als buitenkant

- Onderhoudsvrij en emissieloos

- Lichtgewicht dragende constructie

- Integratie van installaties (lucht, water en energie)

- De hoogte in

- “nieuw” bouwconcept voor wonen in 2030

- Toepassing van ruimtevaarttechnologie

Outside view of the module. Again, LDRAW part shortages made me modify the design to accomodate available parts.

This is the one of the first MOCs that I purposely made with a module system. The walkways, some of the mountains, and assorted SNOT components can be removed from the wall-like base. This allows me to shorten, extend, and just generally edit at will without taking the whole thing a part over and over again.
