While I would love to own one of Gfeller's leather notebook covers, I can't justify the $75 price tag. So I did the next best thing (ie, cheaper diy option) and modified a Writersblok notebook with an interlocking pencil/pen holder. I combined two notebooks, using one of the leftover covers to create extra flaps/pockets and the pen loops.

I raced this vintage K and B chassis (with Monogram Chaparral 2D body) when I was starting out in big-scale slot racing, in a local vintage series. I learned quickly that I should have located a Russkit Carrera sidewinder chassis instead, but in my efforts to improve the performance of the K and B chassis, I did learn a lot. Over time I designed and built all of the brass pieces for handling improvements. The car was raced with a 26D motor, which has blown two armatures, so I settled for a modern Parma motor for the cars retirement from vintage racing.
