At ELIXIR's grand opening. I was modeling the Slice outfit with pink accents.

There is a fairly common misconception amongst city dwellers that there must be "nothing to do" in a small town. It is likely that this author felt that way, not long ago.

According to a local realtor, Julesburg, Colorado is home to about 1500 souls, if you count the cats and dogs. There are only three places in town where you might step out to grab a bite to eat. The Hippodrome Theater is open on weekends if you are up for a movie and driving itself is a joy again after living with decades of Denver traffic congestion.

Many folks garden and that is a big part of the plans for the little house on the prairie. This week, steady 30 MPH winds with gusts up to 60, made garden work, not very attractive. Time to head back to the workbench.

Astute viewers of our work will have already noticed, there is not a vehicle to be seen in this shot! There is only one other image in the one24thscale portfolio with no vehicles. See if you can figure out where that one is. (Hint: There are horses and dogs and people in the scene)

What you are seeing is the first test shot, featuring the Banta Modelworks kit to build the Silver Plume, Colorado, bakery. Silver Plume is one terminus of the famous, Georgetown Loop railroad. The bakery still stands in that small, mountain town. The windows of the structure are so large, it was obvious from the start, it was going to need an interior. Banta also makes the kit for the shelving unit, the tables and a display cabinet. The kits are well designed and laser cut. Very little work was needed to get a good fit. The sub frames of both the building and furniture assembled quickly.

What does this shot reveal? Well, it shows that the ceiling of the bakery space may be visible to a camera lens. That dictates the need to add a ceiling, likely a tin one. That also suggests, a ceiling fan and/or light fixture. The light will need to work to help us get enough light into the interior when we take it outdoors.

It also showed the need to cover the rough side of the masonite with something that will look like a plastered, interior wall. A couple of days worth of looking at this image finally provided a decent idea of how to do so simply and cheaply. That little secret is going to be kept for a while longer. There are some nice dollhouse floor tiles in stock to give the floor a proper look. Floor tiles and walls will be white or off-white so that as much light as possible can bounce around the interior.

The chairs will need lower rails and paint to look convincing.

The image also shows what a nice looking floor that bamboo cutting board makes.

Building and furniture kits are all G scale

When famous dutch Henk Wust builds a diorama of a chemical factory with the name Vulcano in the place 'Dirtydyke', you are sure that the result is stunningly detailed and beautifull. And he did that again. One fantastic piece of modelwork which was inspired by the youth memories of Henk Wust once he saw the raise of petrochemical industries from his hometown towards Rotterdam.

Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México El Regio Montano attacks Deer Valley. The Regio Montano was a very popular and luxurious train that ran from Mexico City to Monterrey, Mexico from 1965 through 1997. This train had a large amount of sleeper cars because it took 15 hours to complete the journey with a stop in San Luis Potosí and another in Saltillo. There were several paint schemes that existed for this train, and this was the final one that was used.

Kanesha is a rewigged and Obitsued Kirakishou Pullip.

I bought her NRFB through a Japanese friend when she was released online.

Kanesha is a topmodel and lives at the Grail Models agency with Sapphire.

Her health is very weak so she usually stays inside her golden bedroom. But she's also very professional and gives everything to do her modelwork the best she can.

She lives a very sheltered life, but she's very clever. She's softspoken and sweet, but runs her own agenda.

From our Outfit of the Day shoot over in Hollywood,CA.

Photos from our May Shoot.

We were setting up shots and wanted to get this slide, but this kid was on it. She knew that we wanted this slide and was bullying us with her looks. As if to say "I dare you touch this slide" Her eyes were no joke, we eventually were able to shoot, but that little girl was still giving us the death stare.

Music Video on the way. Stay tuned people!

It's Wetlook Wednesday! My SexyMan and I went out on Monday to explore a nearby waterfall, hoping to find a beautiful location and bring you an all new set of photos... we drove for over an hour to get there, and when we got there located the trail to the falls... not a soul around. Unfortunately the closest we could get to the waterfall was the viewing platform. The waterfall was a lot bigger than we thought it was, and in order to get into the bottom of the waterfall where we could shoot, we would need to scale about a 30 foot cliff... we were not adequately equipped for such a task so we ended up coming home empty handed. :(

So... we're going to dig into the archive bin for another wet gem for my wetlook lovers out there. This one is called Forest Creek. It was shot in the summer of 2008 believe it or not.... this was a favorite location of ours, we frequently came down to shoot here, beautiful setting, nice clear water that wasn't excessively cold. My SexyMan learned a lot about his camera while I learned a lot about modeling that year!

Hope you all enjoy this one.... hopefully I'll be getting out to create some new content for you soon... we're planning a trip to the coast this weekend... I'll bet I can find some water out there to play in!

Hugs and kisses lovers...

Ellie♥
