One final portrait of this model from the Rotolight stand at the Birmingham NEC Photography Show. Over the course of the day I returned to the Rotolight stand several times as they'd provided several interesting sets and had a number of models in fabulous outfits.
As per the Rotolight Photowalk I took part in earlier in the year I was impressed with their continuous LED lighting and if wasn't for a lack of money at the moment I'd happily buy myself one of their Neo3 kits........

The pattern on her face was made by sunlight through the hat but a little bit of off camera flash helped to fill some of the very dark shadows without killing the effect. Lucky day.

Another photo from a Purpleport shoot with dancer / model Karima Green in Christ Church Meadow, Oxford.
I'm not sure it's entirely worked but I thought I'd give this shot a 'Jack Vettriano' type feel by flattening the textures and boosting the saturation.

Bennie Thomas mid flight. Bennie does mixed martial arts and got a lot of air from basically a standing start (on concrete, no less).
Strobist: X1600 with a long throw reflector, camera left, as key (and also to throw the shadow). It is at f/11, roughly +2 on the ambient. There is also an AB800 in a gridded beauty dish, front, as fill and set to f/8.

In September last year I was emailed by aspiring model Isobel asking if I'd be up for a 'time for images' photoshoot. I'll add some favourites from our University Park shoot but I'm aware that most of my 'regulars' are here for the travel and architecture......
Although this was Isobel's first ever such shoot she quickly relaxed and I think we got some great shots over the course of about an hour and a half wandering round the park. I'm hoping to shoot again with her so expect more photos at some point soon.
