I have been doing a lot of B&W so I thought I would liven things up a little.
Strobist: 3 lights. 2 B800s as rim, turned pretty much all the way down. The cyc was unlit, allowing it to go gray. B800 in a large octa, camera left, f/8 (it is a little low IMO - a mistake I make all too often - but in this case I was concerned with getting light under her hair so as not to shade too much the opposite eye). Triggered by Pocket Wizards.

Another portrait from a vaguely Halloween themed shoot I had recently with Actress / Model Deidre Rose ( www.instagram.com/deidre.rose/ ).
We met at the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park and made full use of the small follies, statuary, fountains etc. We had a lot of fun and it's probably my favourite shoot of this year.

Mayhem #806843
Shot at the local community theater.
The mis-matched, hand painted boots are named for a friend who passed away entirely too young.
Strobist: Key is an X1600 in a PLM on shoot-thru mode, f/11. 2 B800s in strip boxes (no front diffuser) behind on each side for rim, 1.5 stops under.
Triggered by Pocket Wizards.

Usually what I shoot with my models is my own mood. It's been a tough year for me and it seems that the year (or Karma or Universe) has not done with me yet. The title and the image represents me as trying to be/get in peace or a reconciliation with Karma/universe and let things happen as the flow goes..

Another photo from a recent 'time for images' shoot with Purpleport dancer / model Karima Green in Christ Church Meadow, Oxford. Anyone bored yet ?.....
I quickly learnt that when shooting 'dance' you need to frame more widely than you normally would and then crop after, otherwise you'll risk cutting the models arm off (and that's not something either of you want.....). That way you can either crop closer or have the option of including some context.
When I suggested the location I'd hoped to get some shots like this. Shots like this are very much a result of teamwork as whilst I'm taking the photo and processing it, the selection of outfit and pose is very much Karima's.

A portrait of the once pretty popular model from Russia; Nadya Kriger, who back then was the signature model of Sean Archer.
Captured during Sean Archer's first ever workshop in Denmark and Nadya is probably the most famous person I have ever photographed.
Edited and colour-graded in Capture One Pro and Photoshop - here I'm back in my favorite ILFORD Pan F look.
