2012 - Microscale Kansas City, MO mashup
Last year I posted a microscale version of one Kansas City Missouri project I delivered. This is another #microscale #legomodel rendition of two noteworthy buildings that were mashed together as one deliverable minifig scale model I designed for @ldcnorthamerica Kansas City, MO which opened in 2012.

I mentioned before how lighting this trans blue is a challenge, but we were incredibly proud of how it turned out, even if it took some extra work.

Thank you for humoring me with this deep dive through the #LEGO #modeldesign process! Hope you liked what you saw and learned something new!

The building is built to last ... I hope. It's made of cement board for the subframe and marble ceramic tiles. I made the Jiffy Lube Sign a few years ago for our HO scale layout but it never got used until now.
Xeos portable MP3 Speakers built into the roof to resemble HVAC rooftop units. A 4.5VDC power line from the poles will power the speakers and a very long MP3 Cable will connect the MP3 player from the control station on the front porch. It will play an infinate loop of recorded Service station, garage and convenience store recordings.
The same welder I purchased two years ago has been relocated to the new Garage. The welding outfit can be found at Evans designs on the web.
Yes, this is what I do in my spare time when I'm not building bridges, running trains, flying RC airplanes, passing out resume's or playing guitar.
