Nap time in between sessions. It's amazing to be able to paddle in after a session for a nice cold bottle of water, a fresh towel and a little bite to eat, all provided by the boatmen. So sweet
Runway challenge for Top Model Playback. This will be used for the promo shot of the contest...and yeah it's Ilonna.
She made it into Technical 2, so happy! So you should see her entry for the semi-finalist round soon!
This would be her new make-over...she got red hair! Anyway, I drew the dress completely!
My first model that I have ever painted!
Friends tell me it turned out alright!
(but still a long long way from the other F4U-4 already posted on this group! :)
Just for the record, this is a 1/72, F4U-4"Corsair", U.S.M.C model , from Hobby Boss
The kit is a beginers kit, lots of "monoblock" parts to assemble but the details, plastic and decalcs quality is quite surprising for this very low cost Kit
A model from the architecture department of the Národnà technické muzeum in Prague. Building of the National Theatre (Národnà divadlo) in Prague was started in 1867. It was designed by architect Josef ZÃtek, It took until 1881 before the theatre was opened. Two months later a large fire destroyed parts of the building. In 1883 the building was reopened.

I like shooting models of cars, so when the opportunity arises I go for it. The car belongs to my daughters husband, Cameron, and also owns a model 4-door sedan version of this utility.
The car is a Ford BA Falcon XR8. (in case you're unfamiliar), and the model is 1/18th scale, Biante.
For this shoot, I started out using my 580EXII with a 43" shoot through brolly, mounted on my Avenger (copy) C-Stand. The flash was cranked up to the max, and camera was @ iso400 and f/22 on the 17-40L. I wanted more power, so ended up swapping out the flash for my Ranger Quadra (this photo). The Q was running off socket B @ 2/3 power I think, and still using the same brolly/stand set-up. The reflector of the Q filled the brolly nicely, unlike the tighter beam of the 580EXII (@24mm).
The setup shot below was shot with the 580EXII, and levels lifted about a stop. Post work was minimal with the shots lit with the Quadra, just slight sharpening and a S curve in PS. Out of camera files were JPEG, not RAW............for no other reason than I forgot to set RAW, it was late, close to midnight :-)

This was a portfolio image made for a male model who wanted to add something unusual to his offering. We went out to the Stingray Sandbar in my boat for unusual shots with the stingrays. This was shot on film pre-2001. Mikah has been on a cover with Nicole Kidman, among his many credits, so he is an accomplished model.
