Repro Francie - Just arrived today. Very pleased. Sweet face, great outfit. Good face shape, lips in the right place. Overall happy with quality, but her hair needs to be washed and reset. It has tons of stiff glue and mine is lopsided. Her eyelashes have some longer pieces that need to be trimmed. Nice twist and turn Francie body. Cute shoes and the fabric is decent.

HOW TO PLAY! Post a picture of the doll you have most of or would like to own more of and tell us why you like that doll. Don't forget to tag your friends, and if you see this consider yourself tagged!

I have an obsession for these Steffie face standard Barbie dolls (#8587)! I like them so much because they are easy to dress, none of them look exactly the same, and they are relatively cheap compared to other vintage dolls costing me on average $36 AUD (31.50 USD) including postage. Their hair is also very thick and can handle hair play. These dolls were sold in countries including Canada, Australia, and other various countries in Europe. She was produced between 1973 and 1976. She came in either a yellow or blue swimsuit, had various arm types, and came with red, brunette or blonde hair (blonde being the most common).

P.S. This is my first time starting a tag game, if anyone has suggestions on how I can improve please let me know :)

Anthony's Truly Scrumptious Barbie re-rooted in Megan RD blond. Her original hair was chopped off in the back so she needed a full re-root. I think she is just lovely! I have always found her to be such a great use of the Francie sculpt .

So here she is! I have wanted this doll for many years.

It almost feels like I have come full circle. I started my vintage collection with Francie 8 years ago and now I am back to collecting Francie. It is strange that I moved on from her when she is my favourite doll and I don't actually have that much Francie Stuff.

This girl came from a friend of the original owner and she came wearing her original headband and panties. The dress I borrowed from Eddi (ModBarbie Lover). Thanks Spagbol! The original owner was a grown woman that bought her new back in the 70s and displayed her, so this doll was never played with. She still has a bit of her wrist tag stuck to her wrist.

I am so glad I got her. She is the most expensive doll in my collection but she is the cheapest No Bangs sold on eBay in the last few months. And she is worth it anyway.

Hiya Everyone!

Today I would like to share a photo from Eddi's visit the other day.

I am sure you all know by now that Eddi (ModBarbie Lover) and I love to copy each other. And it makes for fantastic photos. It is also great to see how different the same doll can be!

Eddi's No Bangs Francie has a much sweeter face, which is thinner and has thicker eyelashes, more subtle blush, and a rounder hairline.

My No Bangs Francie has a wider face, thinner lashes, more intense blush, and a squarer hairline.

It was Eddi's idea to photograph the sisters on my loungeroom carpet. I think it turned out very well.

As always, Eddi and I had so much fun, I can't wait to compare some more dolls on our next dolly day!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry once again for my absence. I miss you all and hope to catch up soon.

A few days ago it was my 22nd Birthday so today I want to show you all the Cards and Gifts I received.

We will start with the cards. The top row from left to right are from: My Mum, My eldest sister, and My mother and brother in-law. The bottom left is a card from Eddi (ModBarbie Lover) It features drawings of my vintage guys and gals. You can only see the front but they are inside as well. Everyone loves it, especially me of course. Such a great concept and beautiful illustrations. Thanks Spageddi. And bottom right is a card from Ollie! It features a drawing of a bear. Ollie was inspired by a documentary we just watched on Netflix called Beary Tales. It is such a cute drawing! I always keep my cards and I cherish them all.

Now for the Gifts. First I received a gorgeous piece of Fluff from Spageddi! She is so cute and so minty. And from Eddi I also received Candlelight Capers. Thanks Sgeds! Then I received a book called "Oh, You Beautiful Doll!" by Yvonne Rawstron from my mother and brother in-law. It features instructions on how to create you own doll clothing and some patterns as well (although you are encouraged to create your own clothing from scratch). I also received a knitting pattern too. It was a very nifty gift as I then received a "Dress-up" able Mdvanii from Ollie. She came complete in her box and she is amazing! She looks even better than the picture I had saved of another one as reference. She is such an unusual doll, so much smaller than expected but also really sturdy and heavy. She fits Francie's clothes better than Barbie's but she will still need her own wardrobe.

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes, cards, and gifts! I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and family! <3

Sherry insisted on helping me pick out the best doll for Toy Sunday's Group theme - 1960s

Hello everyone!

Here is a photo I took today which wouldn't exist if it weren't for Spageddio (ModBarbie Lover) Fluff and Miss America were gifts from Spageddio. And their outfits are on loan from Spageddio.

Recently I have been thinking about how much Flickr has changed my life.

It all started when I got my Baggie Francie recently. I had wanted her after seeing her here when I started using Flickr more than 4 years ago. Life was so different back then. I was so introverted, I had barely any friends, and my collecting knowledge was limited.

I was taken in by all of you and that has changed my life dramatically. All of my best friends (my Family!) are here on Flickr. And being active on here has helped bring me out of my shell.

I joined Flickr after falling in love with the photos of RomitaGirl67 and Barbie_Paradise77 and then made friends with the gorgeous Fashion Photo Elaine. She then introduced me to Spageddio, who then eventually helped me get my job. And now I have made even more friends through that job. Isn't it crazy? I can't imagine what my life would be like now if I hadn't decided to start using Flickr.

It is very odd how the smallest choices can impact your life. I wouldn't have met my partner of almost 8 years if I hadn't decided to join the youth group where I met him. Two small choices that have had the largest impact on my life.

Anywho... I hope you all enjoy the picture and I hope you all are well. Thank you so much for being you! <3

I finally started putting my vintage/ mod display back up. I though it would be fun to post the dolls as they were redressed and went back into the display.

Kelly started her life as a Quick Curl Kelly she has been re-rooted in original brown and is wearing the vintage dress Movie Date.

Barbie is wearing a Sears Glamor Group dress

Ms Kenton has been getting a lot of attention lately, all the boys on her shelf can't stop staring at her. If they could whistle I am sure they would. Her latest outfit is inspired by one of Ann Margaret's costumes from Viva Las Vegas. It consists of the body blouse from "Ice Breaker" (on loan from ModBarbie Lover, thanks Eddi!), the belt from "Busy Gal", a pair of white PAK Shorts, and the outfit is completed with some gold wedge heels and a set of hoop earrings.

Barbie and her friends are all dressed for a Mod Masquerade Party and you're all invited!! Happy Halloween!!

From left: Hair Fair Barbie as Snow White, Nape Curl Talking Barbie as Barbarella, Talking Busy Ken as Captain Kirk, No. 5 Redhead Barbie as Guinivere, Re-root Barbie as the Enchantress, Ken (?) as The Mummy, Re-root Hair Fair as BatGirl, Fashion Queen Barbie as Vampira, No. 5 Brunette in "Masquerade", Hawaiian Ken and TNT Barbie in Arabian Nights. In front, Repro AG Barbie as a flapper and Marlo Flip Barbie as the witch!

This was a quick curl deluxe PJ. She was re-rooted in a light blond similar to her original hair. She was given eyelashes which actually really complete her look since she never had painted ones. Quick Curl hair always looks so insane when it gets like this, poor girl, =-)

Finally after a few years of searching I was able to get a Hair Happenin's Barbie! She came with her original outfit and two hair pieces. Not mint, but very nice I think. So happy!

The outfits on these models reminded me of "Smasheroo" and "Two Way Tiger"

This was a QC Kelly with the normal tangled hair that happens if you touch this kind of hair at all. She was re-rooted in red to have a similar look to Yellowstone Kelly. She has also received new real eyelashes.

Rules: Put your dolls in some denim clothes, take a picture, tag your friends, and let the games begin! I've been tagged by Modbarbie Lover:)

Barbie was busy elsewhere so of course Raquelle was more than happy to get some shooting time:)

Denim pants and cap are from Fashion avenue, top is from Volks, clutch is from..uhm..well Barbie, but I don't recall her name right now...

As part of her prize win for Top Model, Tamizin received both the cover of the December issue of Barbie Magazine and a six-page spread.
