Last Thursday spectators had the opportunity to watch a mock crime scene play out in the Student Center. The simulation was a collaboration between the criminal justice, accounting, and information and communications technology programs. The scenario involved a gunshot victim with stick drives containing evidence including banking records and ransom notes. It was a wonderful way to demonstrate through one example how the various academic fields and career paths can be closely aligned depending on the situation.

A mock wedding (of people who were already married) was held at the Canadian party during English week at Pinewoods Camp.

This fascinating African species is a classic study in Batesian mimicry, in which a non-toxic species is protected by a resemblance to a poisonous one. This species' story has a twist, however: only the females resemble the model species. Males all look like this; they only need to mate once, while the females need to live longer so they can lay all their eggs. In other words, male butterflies are expendable...glad I'm a human and not a butterfly!
Shot this birds on a nearly hours of a winter day. This bird is very approachable and friendly, in this instance it allowed me to go as close as 5 and click these pics. In this particular pic I included out of focused foreground and background with colorful flowers to get a dreamy look, and I am happy with this one.
