Here is the lift mocked up and held together with clamps so I could check the action and clearances.

Yet again my favourite water bird mocked me....

 

Even my best "Andy Rouse" style tracking technique (When the bird dived I moved closer) was a complete disaster...lol... The Grebe just swam underwater for much great distances!!! Sigh.... Roll on the 400F5.6L :)

 

Or if anyone out there has one of those invisibility cloaks that is surplus to requirements... give us a holler :)

A cold day at least for Florida. Soaking up some sun.

Just because it's pretty and I love it. It grows in a spot where you walk out from dim light in a stand of huge pines into the open sunshine and are immediately met with a big bunch of delicate white blooms. It doesn't smell like anything, so I'm going with an ID of scentless mock-orange, but it's lovely anyway. If I want the pretty scent, I'll go east to the spot where there's a dying tree absolutely covered with wild roses and honeysuckle. :)
