Mock Stonecrop, Sedella pumila. North Table Mountain Preserve.

Really? I can't say I'd noticed the lable on the wine was a mock-up till you placed a badly spelt sticker on the back of the bottle pronouncing so. Then I noticed that the vintage was also stuck on which should have made me suspicious. All in all though the South African coffee pinotage known as 'The Bean' was, well, rather like buckfast. Proper posh bucky that punks from Livingston would probably never be seen drinking but buckyish nonetheless.

This dish isn't on the menu at Fatima's Halal Kitchen in Astoria, NY. However, they have mock chicken and mock beef, so I thought they might make this for me and they did. It was excellent. I'll order this again soon.

Good looks homie, came out fly....

I was surprised to find out this is a swallowtail as it lacks the tail on its wings.

On Monday 16th January, we held our Mock GCSE Examination Results afternoon when Year 11 students gathered nervously in the Main Hall for a special assembly that culminated in them receiving their mock GCSE examination results, their latest teacher predictions and a reminder of their target grades (what teachers think they are capable of achieving).

The Year 11 students saw presentations about overcoming adversity to achieve their very best, and about their upcoming options following these important results, and how make plans to really make a difference to their GCSE grades. As usual there was a real mixture of emotions - some disappointment, relief, satisfaction and joy, but the message was clear. With less than 63 school days to go before the real GCSE examinations start, there is still time to make a difference and ensure that each and every student achieves their true potential in August.

Besides experiencing what it will be like on Thursday August 23rd when they collect their real GCSE results, they took time to reflect on how best they can use time, visualising what they want to achieve and where they want to be next year.

A long lost friend found me on Facebook. She had some photos of me that I haven't seen in over 20 years.

I remember I used to wear mock necks all the time to try to hide my huge Adam's Apple, which I still hate.

I think the reason I don't shave anymore is that I didn't have to shave until I was about 25!

I think the common everyday Mocking Bird is one of the most photogenic.

I have a birdhouse on this old lichen covered trellis in our backyard where I can see it from my office window. This mocking bird has been hanging out there for the past month eating berries and grapes.

The 4th grade class at the Baker-Ripley Promise Community School campus learn about the importance of voting from guest lecturer Rafael Palafox of the NALEO educational fund. Following the lesson and a demo of e-slate machines, students heard campaign speeches from classmates and voted for their class president and treasurer using the e-slates, pre-loaded with the names of the young candidates.

The candidates also presented their campaign speeches to the ESL classes who participated in the mock election.
