Lulworth Castle, situated in East Lulworth, Dorset, is an early 17th century mock castle and was the home of the Weld family for over 300 years.
Built in 1610, Lulworth Castle was built as a hunting lodge by Thomas Howard, 3rd Viscount Howard of Bindon, a grandson of the 3rd Duke of Norfolk. In 1641 Humphrey Weld purchased it from Howard's heir, James, 3rd Earl of Suffolk. A Roman Catholic Chapel was built in the grounds in 1786. Following the French Revolution, the surviving members of the French Royal Family were allowed to use Lulworth as one of their residences-in-exile. Charles X of France also stayed here briefly following the Revolution of July 1830.
The castle was gutted by fire on 29 August 1929 and was left as a roofless ruin, the family building a new residence for themselves nearby. In the 1970s, restoration work begun with the help of the English Heritage. The restoration, finished in 1998, included a new roof and restored surviving walls in the interior, but no new internal walls or replacements for the destroyed upper floors have been constructed.
The castle is now a museum and tourist attraction.
I had printing issues and didn't get to show this in class. Actually finished it around 2:00 and ran... but it was over. TT_TT

Here is my baritone guitar in the next stage of construction. The Telecaster style bridge by TV Jones is temporarily mounted and a template for the pickguard is just laid on the top. A Danelectro neck which I am using as a guide is inserted into the neck pocket. The new ebony fretboard which will be part of the finished neck is to the right.

This kite was designed by Don Mock of Washington state and I made it in a workshop at the 2005 Fort Worden Kitemakers' Conference.
It's 20 sq ft (1.85 sq m), but very light on the hand and easy to launch and fly. I've used it with and without a fuzzy tail for KAP, but it's best with.
This one is called the Mini because the original was 60 sq ft.
I discovered these mock bank notes in a random shop and loved them. They are quite detailed (with more pictures on the back) and there is one for every Tudor monarch, the six wives and Prince Arthur. I love how they say very blatantly – ‘this note is not legal tender’. As if someone needed to be alerted to that...

Apparently, a "mock orange" is actually a flowering shrub... and these didn't fall from no shrub.
This is an osage-orange fruit, and it's as big as a pomelo.

Lincoln High School made it to final round of the Iowa High School Mock Trial State Tournament, finishing as the state runner-up for 2019. The Rails' student-lawyers ended up second to a team from Marion in a closely judged argument in the Iowa Supreme Courtroom.

Members of the Lincoln team include seniors Jharna Adhikari, Jared Poortinga, Daunte Thompson, Mikayla Rodrigues, and Quique Llopis Egea; juniors Nathan Gordon, Spencer Johnson, and Piper Lansky; and sophomores Enya Cid, Cole Flaherty, and Dornubari Fulbel; and coach Kaitlyn Evans.
A huge butterfly magnet.
I have taken many shots of various butterflies on and around this Mock Orange bush.
This is a little nostalgic, because once it is finished blooming this year, this bush will be cut down. It is well over twenty feet tall now and has become quite scraggly.
We are going to cut it to the ground but hope it will return from the root. The bush is quite hardy. It is very old and has been moved to several different spots on the property, so we have high hopes that it will be back.
East Clinton High School senior Morgan Dennis has makeup applied before the start of a mock crash at the Lees Creek school on Friday, May 13. The mock crash fell on the day before prom and was meant to warn students about the dangers of driving while drunk.
Last Thursday spectators had the opportunity to watch a mock crime scene play out in the Student Center. The simulation was a collaboration between the criminal justice, accounting, and information and communications technology programs. The scenario involved a gunshot victim with stick drives containing evidence including banking records and ransom notes. It was a wonderful way to demonstrate through one example how the various academic fields and career paths can be closely aligned depending on the situation.
Nine College of idaho students, each playing the role of a particular current justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, barraged local attorneys arguing the cases with questions during the College's mock court class in January 2013. Kerry Hunter, professor of political economy, started the course 18 years ago as a way to introduce students to the Supreme Court.
