A friend bought these for me from Japan. They are Japanese rice cakes made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into shape which are filled with adzuki bean paste. Yum.
Sakura-Mochi
My sempai at the Urasenke Association offered me we could make some japanese wagashi together and that she would teach me how to make them. So we made these sakura-mochi and also the wagashi you can see at the next photo (don't know its name unfortunately).
Mochi will be for adoption today Tuesday, November 15 at 19:00 spanish timezone.

Das Shooting fand am Fr.08.12.2017 statt und zwar im schönen Nürnberg. Es war ein Home Shooting mit verschiedenen Bereichen, wie z.b. Fashion, Portrait, Tanz, Teilakt, Haustiere.... und immer mit der Betonung auf das Thema: "Natürlichkeit" - im Stillstand & der Bewegung.
Die Fotos werden nicht alle in schwarz - weiß sein, aber doch überwiegend.

So I happened across plushes that were similar to Tsum Tsum but from different anime, so of course I went nuts and ordered the Cardcaptor Sakura, Fate Stay/Night and Sword Art Online sets ^^; . The Cardcaptor Sakura set is the first to arrive. Initial thoughts the quality on the Mochi Mochis is amazing. Mochi Mochi Mascots are much fatter than a Tsum.
If the French have their macaroons, the Japanese have their mochi.

This is a red bean paste filled mochi with poppy seed from a little 200 year old mochi shop in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. Now, that is history!
Shot with natural lighting through a window from the left. The setup is to show what's inside the mochi as well as the name of the shop on the right. Too much bokeh?
This Japanese confection, Strawberry Daifuku or commonly known as mochi, is made with mochi (glutinous rice cake) stuffed with red bean paste and a whole strawberry. It was my first attempt at making mochi...it was a tricky task trying to wrap the mochi. They don't look as good as I expected but I was surprised at how delicious they turn out ;')
