DPR's afternoon loads pops up out of Coyote Basin, enroute the Bonanza Power Plant near Bonanza, UT, and moments from tunneling under Old Bonanza Highway (UT 3150). Catching this shot required a somewhat spirited chase from Midway siding.
Ok so I'm shamelessly shoehorning this into the theme today due to lack of time. The group rules did say it didn't actually have to be dark (The UK has a shortage of darkness in June) and it's certainly a mystery to me why Moriarty likes exiting through this window so much.

A brace of four Freeport McMoRan Industries geeps grinds uphill with a third section of interchanged tank cars out of Clifton, AZ, enroute to the mine at Morenci. This train is the final cut of Arizona Eastern train 203, which arrived Clifton earlier in the day.
I admit posting this picture is like adding a drop of water to the ocean, this operation being so very heavily documented at this point...oh well.
Thank you again George P. for the insight and tips on this operation.
A nice break from the dirty and ragged out Canadian Pacific power that has been on almost every train as of late.
I saw Lisa doing her thing, rolling around on her favorite perch, so I gave her some catnip to further enhance her mood. The catnip grows wild in the alpaca enclosure at the farm, and I have a big bag of it.
So I killed myself a little yesterday when I went over the handles on my bike, so I won't be building until I'm healed up :s
However I made this a while ago but just had it lying on a desk :3
A quartet of Burlington Junction units arrives Quincy, IL with a robust train retrieved from BNSF's yard in West Quincy, MO.
Still in warbonnet colors, albeit a tad beat-up looking, BNSF 792 crests a hill south of Ponder, Texas on the BNSF Ft Worth Sub.
I did a little experimenting with drone designs last week.
From left to right:
- idk why something about the design looks vaguely Chinese...somehow. I don't know, something about the color scheme is giving me deja vu, like I've seen some Neo-China cyberpunk art in the past that had a similar color scheme for a character.
- Bogatyr medium autonomous platform
I'm thinking they would be the standard infantry units produced by Mitznov Design Bureau in my p_r_o_x_y series.
I'd had the design concept in my head for a while. I could never come up with good color combos to make it look good though. I'm still not satisfied with the colors, some printed olive legs would probably look better. The pulse rifle is also just a stand-in.
- Ashi medium multi-purpose platform
Not really dronebarf, since I've had this design sitting around for a year or more now. I forget if I've showed it yet, but I just felt like throwing it in to complement the other two figs.
Designed by Hachitekku Mechatronics, it can serve as both an autonomous combat and security unit, as well as a remotely operated proxy chassis.
Posed it in a tai chi stance because...eeh, I felt like doing a little extra work :/
I guess a central theme between these figs are different drone designs based on nationality. I am trying to strive towards giving different in-world companies their own distinct aesthetic.
