Shot with my new Oly 7-14 Pro. Love this lens! The only PP is a very slight keystone correction and some noise reduction.
This is a security consulting client of mine. They have the nicest looking medical marijuana dispensary I've ever consulted for.
Still lounging amid the remnants of the kids' birthday party on the weekend.
I was (perhaps overly) excited about the weather forecast today and dressed for SUMMER. Of course, I spent most of the day in the chilly indoors freezing my legs off. My bad.
Lekala sailor shorts Which you can't actually see, but I promise you they're there.
Still in Reading Buses livery since I last saw it in November, Omnicity YN08 MMJ is leaving Lincoln city centre via Canwick Road on 19.4.23
As if their fully liveried Omnicity decker wasn't enough (or one of them - think they've got 2 or 3?), PC Coaches also provided a yet-to-be-painted one which I wasn't at all expecting to see. This was actually tracking on Bustimes as FX13 ABO, one of PCC's two Hybrid E400s, so the ticket machine must've been borrowed from that vehicle or perhaps temporarily set up with ABO's profile, or something - I'm not sure how it all works. Anyway, this vehicle itself is not yet listed in the PC Coaches fleet on Bustimes.
There are no prizes for guessing the previous operator or fleet number. Reading's 1111 was new in 2008 for their route 17 and, much like NCT's three Omnilinks, was initially powered by ethanol before being converted to conventional diesel. It was still operating for Reading earlier this year, so is a fairly new acquisition for PCC even though I'm not sure how recent. I'm not bothered enough to start checking through the backs of Buses magazines just in case I can find the exact mention of it moving.
Hopefully, like their other Omnicity DDs, this one will be later painted into the proper PC Coaches livery. Its current ex-Reading livery is looking past its best and a little worn, and although this sandy grey colour works as Reading's equivalent to an NCT silver spare, it does look a bit dull once removed from a place with a colour coded network.
It is seen departing Lincoln bus station on 2.11.22 out of service.
Arriving into Lincoln bus station with a 49 is PC Coaches YN08 MMJ, which is yet another ex-Reading Buses Scania to join their ranks, and still in Reading livery. It still has Reading fleet number 1111.
Funnily enough this isn't the first Omnicity decker I've ever photted with the number 1111, as in the past I've had Southern Vectis 1111 which is an open top Omnicity!

Tracking as FX13 ABO, Reading liveried Omnicity YN08 MMJ was showing on Bustimes as being parked at Unity Square, so out of curiosity I decided to go and stalk it. I don't know what I expected to find, it was just kinda... there? Not doing anything.

I think this remains one of just two Harrington Legionnaires that I have set eyes on in the past 40 years, both on Bedford VALs, the other one being Cyril Kenzie's restoration of 20 years ago.
72 MMJ was only a few minutes away from its original home when it was at Woburn, having been new to Taylor's of Meppershall in 1964. It had been a caravan for a few years by this time, having been converted in 1978, and would stay in the same hands until 1997, when it passed into preservation - but with a difference. Its new owner was intending to convert it into an 'Italian Job' replica, but it has spent nearly half its life now undergoing that process ....

As it turns out, even though this is the nicest finished project I've made, it's a little short. This can be a problem if it's windy and you have to bend down to pick up kids etc. May put on a pair of leggings when I have to go back out.
