There's a 5-minute window about 30 mins before sunrise where the sky gets bright and blue while the MLK statue is still fully illuminated by bank of lights. This is that.
The sun rises over MLK Drive on the west side of Atlanta. Ahead is the new Mercedes Benz Stadium being built for the Atlanta Falcons.
On the outskirts of Austin on the Capital MetroRail commuter line. Since the line opened in 2010, a new community has grown around this station site. Not a bad crowd for an off-peak service.

I got a good vibe about Atlanta from the moment I saw its skyline. It was the first stop on my trip where I experienced really warm and sunny weather. The people were very welcoming and friendly. A pretty girl with blue hair and cutout knees in her jeans smiled at me. That's all it takes for me : )
In honor of the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day we are highlighting this convenience store in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami which had a beautifully painted portrait honoring the civil rights leader’s life and legacy alongside Malcolm X.

Former LT DMS MLK 418L was withdrawn by LT in 1979 and passed to Charles Cook of Biggleswade in the same year. It lasted until 1986 in this fleet, but was withdrawn and sold. It was seen here at the companies Biggleswade premises in May 1986 and was quite possibly withdrawn at this time. Photo used kind permission of Charles Roberts who retains copyright.
