Mixelation - a disease which causes one to develop cartoonish features and abnormal swelling of the eyes.
Building a lot of spiders lately - this one started as a "quick build" bad guy for my sons "police tower" and I kind of got carried away with it.

The final, seventh round of the local building competition for creative use of certain parts. This time the seed part were mixel joints.
This typewriter has only 20 buttons. It's not critical, is it?
My Lego rendition of one of the most famous dinosaurs.
I had the idea for the back armour, made with 2x2 dished attached with Mixel joints, several months ago, but didn't really know how to do it.
It's only in May, inspired by the then-imminent release of Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom, that I began to actually build it, starting with the body.
I've built the tail quite easily, but it was more difficult to get the head and the limbs right.
I was done by early June, but I had to wait a bit to order the parts because the MOC contains several of the new 1x1x1 brackets, which weren't immediately available on Bricklink.
The model features 15 points of articulations for the head, the tail, and the limbs.
For those who would like to build it, or those who would like to know how many Mixel joints are used (hint : a lot) you can check the model on Mecabricks. It contains several teal parts : you don't have to actually use teal, it's for parts that are concealed in the finished model, so you can use whatever colour you want.

Maybe this could be used to make something interesting. I love the amount of thought they put into designing parts like this.

This mech might not be called remax, since I left many parts, but this MOC is purely made of the parts included Mixel series 8, #71569/71570/71571.
In Dungeons & Dragons, the mimic is a type of fictional monster. It is portrayed as being able to change its shape to disguise its body as an inanimate object, commonly a chest.
And it will wreck your pathetic little crew of adventurers.
So I finished this guy like over a month ago and I haven't posted him ever on flickr. By far this figure and cyborg are my favorite I have made this year.
Helmet is just a simple pilot helmet with some sculpted bits and plastic for the visor
Jacket and straps are made with E-tape and the buckles are sculpted
Legs have etape and sculpted parts as well and for his talons I used those robot hands. The belt buckle is actually a lego piece (I have no idea why I didn't sculpt it like always so maybe I'll update it later)
Wings are interesting....
Where to start? The base is all this sheet of plastic I got from a hot chocolate set I got from a good friend to my family and I cut the shapes I wanted. I used a lego antennae piece for the middle sections so his wings can fold in and out. The main wing articulation is all mixel ball joints which I got the idea from Jaymes (TheLostMinifig)
I used a neckbrace as an attachment and the fur collar is actually sculpted and glued onto the wings.
The propellers were the hardest part. Painting it was tedious enough but trying to achieve the way his propellers are suppose to move is a different story.
I used those lego piece from that carnage set and glued bits of the antennae piece onto the disk and then cut up tiny pieces of a flex tube so it can spin around as you see on the image above.
Next, I cut up a piece of plastic for the propellar base and glued a flex tube onto it and made the articulated joints with a skeleton arm and a handle piece. That way, the propellars attach to the wing assembly with a simple stud.
Of course, the rest are painted by me

When your primary weapon is the BFG9000 assault gun, not just anything will do when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. Meet the M146 Painsaw, the melee weapon of choice for the armed forces of Da Bearz. With enough power to cut through the nastiest of obstacles, it's the perfect way to dispatch an unfriendly cacodemon on a remote starbase.

When the tunnels are empty, the Power Miners Demolition Crew arrives to close up shop. But there are strange rumblings coming from the junkyard…
A revamp of the Mixels Weldos tribe in the style of Power Miners. These were two of my favorite themes growing up, so I really enjoyed working on this project. Getting the combiner model to work was a fun challenge.

After building the rather intimidating jaw, I just couldn't bring myself to goof it up with those googly eyes. I went with a deepsea prawn-like monster because I felt the other Flexers looked rather like sea creatures.

I was trying to make a 1962, because it's my favorite vintage of Godzilla, but I think it came out more like a 1992.
Mixel mech version of sets 41536, 41537 and 41538.
Apparently it took me two years to notice that local store had Klinkers on shelf.
Clinkers tribe double remax. Still a wip though as i am not satisfied with the play function...will need some reworking.
This is my second mixel combiner based on the third and fourth Mixel waves. You can see the first one based on the first two official Mixel waves here.
There are things I like better about this one (no parts forming and better overall transformations and connections) and things I like less (shitty arms, lack of shoulder width).
You can hear me ramble a little more and watch the actual combination in the latest episode of Bricks & Beer here.
Cheers!
loosely inspired by the movie 9. I picked up for 5 bucks and can't stop watching.. but I couldn't stop thinking what if these were crawling on our skin
Mixanta, Mixelf & Mixsleigh originate from Jinglemix, Northern White Valley which is also known as Mixanta Village. The place is covered by snow all year round.
Since the tumbler has already retired I have decided to make my own. A tumble remax using the mixels munchos tribe :D Set 41551, 41552 and 41553. Flame effect added just for kicks for other sets ^^.
PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVOURITE
I really like mixel two differents world. This time (after GoT with SW) I made the Avengers of Westeros (GoT and Marvel). I had a lot of fun making them and think of a story for each characters, hope you enjoy (this idea was inspired by an old photo of Kaiju Dan).
From left to right:
-Hawkeye: he become Eagleeye an archer of the Brotherhood without Banners
-Winter Soldier: aka Winter Brute, he was a member of the Night's Watch but he become a Wildling and he lost an arm during a fight with a White Walker
-Scarlett Witch: aka Scarlett Priestess, she comes from Asshai and she know a lot about magic
-Captain America: he become Captain Riverlands, a patriottic leader of a group of soldiers who fights against the men of John "Red Skull" Targaryen, another Mad King
-Iron Man: aka Lord Anthony Stark, nothing much to say, use immagination
-Spider Man: at first he should be like Varys but I think he works better like a young Lord who fights against bandits
-Black Panther: he still the same but he comes from a far land where humans seems to cat
-Black Widow: at first she should be a Faceless Woman but I prefer she as the first female Lord Commander of the Watch.
What do you think?

Ever since we've been in the business of moving houses, I have been off playing with dolls. Everything is still packed away so I don't debox most dolls any more. That's the way it will be until I set up the doll area. Until then, this is what I have. A slice of dolly bliss. Surprising that I chose to display the Blythes over everything else. Or maybe, it's not so surprising after all.
I don't take too many photos of the girls nowadays, but I love walking up to this shelf and simply staring at them. Funny how some things change over time and some things don't.
My entry for the Brickset 2016 Mixels Competition:
The Toyxels!
Playtime is never over with the Toyxels! No one knows for sure where these mysterious toylike Mixels came from, but rumor has it that they were originally built in the Klinkerton factories of old. Whether that's true or not, one thing is certain: the joyful Toyxels love to play and pull harmless pranks on their fellow Mixopolis neighbors.
