« Your soul is a priestess of memory, selecting, sifting, ultimately gathering your vanishing days towards presence. »
—John O’Donohue
Encaustic mixed media with archival pigment prints, cyanotype, found papers, pressed leaf, on a reclaimed book cover.
There is, within each of us, a room without a window.
It is not a prison.
It is a space we once closed off,
to no longer hear what unsettled us.
But that room still speaks.
Sometimes through anger.
Sometimes through silence.
Sometimes through someone else.
It is not a fault to have a shadow.
It is a mistake to believe we can live without it.
For by fleeing what we carry,
we end up losing our only true friend:
the one we could have become.
—

A delicate yet powerful portrait of a Sri Lankan woman, immersed in a textured, abstract background. Her serene expression and the vibrant pink flower she holds symbolize resilience, grace, and the beauty of simplicity. The painting, created using mixed media techniques, combines raw, expressive lines with layered colors, evoking a sense of depth and emotion.

An exploration of memory, nostalgia, and the textures of nature.
This piece blends painting with found objects, layered fabrics, and textured elements to recreate the feeling of a crisp autumn fishing day by the lake. The warmth of fading foliage meets the quiet shimmer of water — and somewhere in between, a story unfolds.

Can you ever have too much of a good thing? I don't think so...especially when it comes to something as fun as these. Once I figured out how to make these collaged charms, I couldn't stop. Now my mind is ablaze with all the ways I can craft them into usable items; keychains, bracelets, necklaces. Gotta run...looks like it's going to be another crafty day!

This piece is a journey of texture, color, and layered memories. Woven with fabric, threads and thick sculptural strokes of paint, Into the blue distance explores the delicate balance between chaos and calm.
⠀
Every element is stitched together with intention—echoes of nature, fleeting emotions, and dreamlike landscapes. Let your eyes wander and discover your own meaning in the abstract.

"EGGCELLENT - Mixed Media by Sabrina McClellan
I have recently read the novel 'Berlin 2039' by Karsten Krepinsky. It plays in a dystopian near-future version of Berlin where parts of the city have been transformed into gated ghettos ruled by Arab, Turkish, and Czechen clans. Trains would run through these run down and outlawed areas without stopping. This inspired me to make a picture using models from my german TT scale collection. The locomotive is a class 241 (re-powered 4000 hp version of the class 232) from Roco. The freight cars are from Kühn. The environment was created with the help of Midjourney version 5.

.... on the right is a picture of her from 2018.... .... ..... ...
Gwendolyn.... still thinks she's the star she was many years ago
Back in the day.... I wanted a Black Eyed Suzie doll and couldn't afford one of hers ... so I made my own.
She is air dry paper clay over wire and tin foil..hand painted eyes with some drops of Glossy Accent over the paint.. jointed with wire on the arms... cotton on the legs...she has wild, crazy mohair... and a sad and wonky face. Just like a Black Eyed Suzie doll has.
