I have a picture for that!
There are pictures in my archives that I hold dear and near to my memories. When the timing clicks with the world around me, I go back and match the picture that best describes my feelings.
Taking pictures is my way of having a way to look back and relive them when my emotions call for it. If appropriate, I share 😀😍😄.
At the later afternoon street market in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, an Filipina vendor flashes an uninhibited smile with her pinkish hair coloring happy to be a subject of a candid street portrait.
Went to the annual Whole Earth Festival this weekend at UC Davis, where we went to college. It's always entertaining--a great place to people-watch! There's this woman there every year who does these amazing works of art. DD asked for a hummingbird! Her hair sure photographs red, doesn't it? It's always like that, though in person it's much more brown. (Maybe just looks brown compared to mine--LOL!)
This is my son and his good friend Joe. They're pretty proud of the fact that they lost their two front teeth at the same time. I think it's hilarous myself.
Young girl sits with a young male at a birthday in the back yard of one's home; she smiles revealing some missing front teeth; location is Ansonia, Connecticut, USA during the month of June.
My son was very upset when he looked at my photostream and saw so many pictures of his sister and so few of him, so we had a fun lil' photo shoot today to add some more of him on here also=)
Brothers enjoy the fresh water currents in an irrigation ditch after a recent rain storm in the province of Baliuag, Bulacan, The Philippines.
... that I take his picture, enjoying a Liverpool Pride day a few years back.
How could I refuse? Heh, heh.
Street portrait of a young man who grew up in poverty on the Streets of Malate, Manila, The Philippines.
When it rains it pours, as they say--she was late losing teeth; now she has three missing at the same time! I love the light in this shot, but wish her eyes popped a bit more--they're more blue in person...
From my childhood, hide-and-seek is remembered as one of the more anxiety-provoking games. When you are the seeker (the 'it') all the other children are against you. This is, naturally, a very bad position. But even when you are one of the concealers the threat that you would be the next seeker (or that you would be forgotten in your hiding place) was very frightening.
Many years ago, when I was a student, I started very interesting research in which I interviewed adults about their memories from the game. Most of my interviewed had memories rather like mine.
And how are yours?
p.s.
Our children or grandchildren, probably, wouldn't have any memories from the game, whatsoever…
Sometimes wishing her brothers & sisters were a little normal, jut a little ;P. Here with Cookie on the left, always doing things differently, going a bit overboard & Maya on the right, upset because Leeloo came sitting on the toy she was quietly nibbling two seconds ago... Never a dull day here :).

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Muscle Nun is always happy and when
holding a puppy she's extremely happy.
There's a number of issues to cover today.
No# 1 and our resident niece left around 7AM
for The Monkey Temple in order to help the nuns
with all the chores they had to accomplish on this
Big Buddha Day. There was around 500 + people
in attendance, many high ranking Navy officials and
a top ranked Thai Navy Seal Team for heavy security.
There was some Admirals in attendance, where they go
security goes.Maybe 80+/- regular Navy guys to help out
with grounds maintenance, setting up chairs, tables, stage,
sound system, plus cooking and parking. This is a big event.
OK now here's the deal with the Navy. This place has always
had Navy officials/personal keeping an eye on it and helping
push to get it registered as an "Official Thai Temple." On the
government books it's only registered as a Buddhist Meditation
Center. You've heard me talk about upgrades being made over
the last 10 years, New roads, new buildings, painting and so forth.
Yesterday, big funds were set aside by The Navy to start on fixing
and refurbishing The Dog Palace. All the rooms will be brought up
to living standard, that's Thai living standards, so that older Monks
and Nuns will be able to live in comfort. No# 1 told me I may have
to move out of The Bingo Room in the future but so far we're
not sure about that, only time will tell. When no# 1 returned
home at noon o'clock I was taken over to the ER as my shoulder
has turned into a major problem.Looks like it may be a few more
days before I'll be able to return to The Monkey Temple.
So now lets talk about the puppy. Shadow is a pretty smart
dog, very friendly and able to figure out easy problems.
She has been moved back to the nuns place after
living with Mr Kind Monk on his island surrounded
by swamp. The same aggressive primates that
attacked Pumpkin live there plus more
monitor lizards are showing up !
Way to risky for Shadow !
Alright here's some more news that won't settle well with
any of you. Mr Leg Man is also a very kind man and had
been taking the two new puppies with him early in the
morning when he starts sweeping the temple grounds.
This includes the roads that are along side the swamps.
A large lizard grabbed the puppies and vanished ! .....;-(
Please understand this is sad news but this is also
how nature works out here in a unforgiving jungle.
Pumpkin The Princess and Mr Boney Baloney
are having the time of their lives. Kissing
and chasing about like to young kids.
Mr WeeNee BeeNee the Pig Man
just lays around snoring .....;-)
The jungle moves at a rhythm all it's own.
I'm just an observer bringing you the news.

an sometimes it dosen't."

An elderly Filipino man working the Manila Bay-walk selling pieces of candy to locals poses for an informal portrait.
This is Simon. He is my close friends son and is a little ham.
I had to capture him with those front teeth missing.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes yesterday.
This Amur Tiger had a fierce appearance until it flashed me a smile. One upper canine is missing, the bottom canines look broken.
Amur Tigers (Panthera tigris altaica) are the largest of the five subspecies of tigers. They may attain up to 660 pounds and ten feet in length during their 15 year lifespans.
One interesting fact learned at the Detroit Zoo: "a tiger's stripes, unique to each individual, are not only on its fur, but also on its skin...".
Explored #171 - Thank you!
I've been tagged by Vanessa and Natalia
How to play:
List 10 things that your friends/contacts may or may not know about you, but that are true. Tag ten people and be sure to let them know they’ve been tagged (a quick message will do). Don’t forget to link back to the person who tagged you. Post a picture in your stream with the 10 facts and list your tagged people.
OK here we go:
1. I love dark chocolate.
2. I'm not a fan of Facebook.
3. I could eat Mexican food every day.
4. To me, portrait photography is the most interesting and most difficult. My goal is to get better at taking portraits this year.
5. I have a 100 lb chocolate lab named Henry (you can find photos in my stream)
6. I took a summer photography class at Art Center and it was great.
7. I play the guitar.
8. My three beautiful daughters love to pose for the camera.
9. I work in the printing business.
10. I never do these things.
Yes, short and sweet, so these are the 10 things you may or may not know about me, now it’s my turn to tag 10 people, ready? Go!
And I'm also tagging Miles again because he didn't post a photo of himself and he only did 5 questions (so you owe me 5 more).
Oftentimes, the best informal portrait is the shot that you take inbetween the poses. A little Filipina girl smiles showing her missing front primary teeth.
