My DD (Dear Daughter) read the "STOP" sign last night and said..."Oh I wanna do it, I wanna do it, can I?" What's a mom to do?!! So of course, I said, sure...have at it. So at 10pm she was riffling thru the Blythe clothes closet...and got this all out for Alice McGee...whom she also picked to model. There clearly is no rhyme or reason to anything...EXCEPT the fact that poor Alice is, at Keely's insistance ....ummm...also sporting the "camo" look for this shot.
So...without further ado...

My plumber came by to check on a few things. After he was finished, he totaled up my invoice inside the house. Without prompting, he kicked off his shoes (!!) before coming into my house.
I pretended to text while snapping these pics!
I had a question about the dishwasher. He pointed out what needed to be checked by using his socked foot to point. I just about died!!
I wanted a follow-up visit, but he no longer works for the company. So enjoy!
on a Monday. I had a tough time working all day. I hardly slept at all last night. That doesn't bode well for the week.
And in other news, it's officially sock weather.
Teenage girl proudly wearing mismatched socks. The newest fashion trend I guess.

ONE SHOT CHALLENGE!
So at a birthday drinks last night, a lovely photographer friend of mine was telling us about how he only had 3 minutes with Kim Catrrall to shoot her, and he hardly got any frames.
So today I knew I wouldnt have much time, so I allowed myself ONE FRAME ONLY, and no matter what I had to post it for today's picture.
Luckily it went well.
Im off to see my sister who's in town and then the Frog Prince is cooking me dinner.
xx
You know what kind of day today was? The sort where at the end of the day, I took off my shoes and realised that my socks didn't match - and of course, had not matched all day. Yep, that kind of day.
You know what other kind of day today was? The busiest day I've had on flickr EVER! Seriously, I don't know why or how, but FUN! :)
Thank you all for visiting my photos every day. It really means a lot to me.
My socks didn't match today. I have two pairs of blue, striped, knee-high socks, and I could only find one of each.
I kind of like the way the blues and browns all turned out here. I didn't realise how color-coordinated it was until just now.
Peek-a-boo.
(Edit: Similar to Day 123.)
I took about 140 pictures today...alllll of this. It was crazy. These were the only okay ones. I must say I have a new appreciation for people who have done pictures like this!

With so many things going on when it comes to Littles, it's easy to get distracted... it's also easy to lose socks when so many loads of laundry get cycled through.... You see mismatched socks and clashing colours? In our house, we see creativity and improvisation.... even if you meant to putting on matching socks...and shoes. At least everyone is fed....right? ....Right?.......Oh, right........ I should probably eat something too. At least the kids are fed....?
We're Here: Lost Sock Memorial
Gratitude:
I'm thankful for Skype. Even when it's not working totally up-to-par (like dropping calls every 5 minutes or so...) it is still really nice to be able to see and talk to family and friends who live so very very far away... or not far away. Last night we chatted with my in-laws and helped them with their computer and this evening I enjoyed chatting with my own mom and briefly my dad. I miss my family very very much, so it's nice to be able to see and talk to them occasionally. So, thanks Skype.
Funkadelic MacKenzie and her mismatched socks for rollerskating. She is such a nut.. and strangely, EG is trying to fill her shoes.. she acts just like Kenzie.
On November 14, a post on Lou Reed's facebook page posthumously announced that there would be a memorial in his honor at Lincoln Center. There would be no eulogies, no speeches, no pictures of Lou, no ceremonies. Just 3 hours of his music. It seemed strange, but in a way it was perfect. He was there in the form of his work, and we were left to listen, to reflect, to dance, to reminisce or to hear with fresh ears. Everyone has their own image of him, and they were all there.
Coming home and looking at my photos, it seemed an unusual and respectful gathering. I don't know whether it will seem that way to everyone, but I'll try to post a few over the next few days and we'll see.
I had a meeting downtown and then spent the afternoon sewing (big surprise.) I didn't actually realize I had one sock on inside out until I imported the photos from the day into Lightroom.
