I do not know how or why the bears got into the china cabinet but there is going to be lock put onto that quite quickly. Gerrie I can most surely trust, but his other pals? I am not so sure of them.

Momma bear (Ursus arctos), Agro, and her cubs visited our lodge one afternoon. They explored a bit, especially around the area where the fish were cleaned, then walked back to the road and towards the creek. squirrels can not normally access the feeders in my garden but the snow cover has created a height from which the squirrels can now launch themselves successfully, bypassing the barrier on the pole that would normally prevent them from doing so...

This little guy has been using the birdbath to gain access to the little swing feeder.
First, he comes to the window and looks in to see if anyone is watching. He sneaks around a bit then he hops on over to the birdbath and jumps to the feeder.
He doesn't stay long, he just grabs a few quick bites and off he goes to get into some sort of mischief.

|| After seeing their flat for the first time in Little Lamplight, Aurora and Zaira encountered a pixie infestation! That proved a little troublesome to fix and pushed back their moving. Then a flood happened where they were delayed even more. The day is finally here! They're moving boxes, and the summer heat is taking it's toll. ||
This one came out today, this iris is called Harlequinesque, do you think it is clownish. So now I have the Sharp Dress Man next to Harlequinesque, I think mischief is about to happen.

A few years ago in August, mom and her cubs came for a visit during the day, no less. They enjoyed the bird seed that was in my squirrel and "bear proof" feeder. She just reached up to the branch it was hanging from and pulled it down onto the grass. The lid has a heavy metal ring so it came off the branch easily. No damage this time, just a few scratches on the lid. She's smarter than the average bear!
One time before that, somewhere in their travels, they were all tagged with silver ear clips.
Funny thing though...last month one of them came back at night for a visit. In fact it was right around Halloween. The only way I knew that was the following morning, I saw my metal pole that I hang bird feeders on was at an angle with muddy prints on it. Again, no damage was done to the pole because I bring my bird food in every night.
