I've been curious about this, who was shooting the photo? Since "me", "myself" and "I" are constantly changing...

I call this picture accidental mistake.

There is comfort in the blur a sweet reminder to focus On the step in front of me and not the whole stairway.

There is comfort in the blur that blurry pictures are raw, beautiful and chaotic.

I find comfort in that blur.

In the soft glow of a private restroom, where muted marble walls absorb every secret, Weszu caught a single glance that feels like a stolen confession.

She tilts toward the mirror, phone raised, long dark hair falling forward like a velvet curtain. A black ribbed top dips low, revealing a playful Doraemon tattoo just above a golden butterfly pendant that rests perfectly at the curve. The fringed black mini skirt brushes her thighs, adding a hint of wild texture. Cool light kisses her pale skin, carving gentle shadows that deepen her subtle smile and the calm intensity in her eyes—creating an atmosphere of effortless confidence, tender yet untamed.

TLR. What a unique way to take pictures. The tlr isn’t a camera I pick up as often as the others but every time I do I’m reminded that it’s an outstanding process that changes up the way I think about and take pictures. It’s both a great camera for candid shots and paradoxically draws attention from those who don’t know what the heck the thing is. I’ve seen many people try to hold the camera like an slr when I hand it to them but once I show them the correct way to hold it they inevitably gush over how cool it is. Everyone loves Rollei (deservedly) but these Yashica’s are right up there with them. They make a great introduction to medium format but also are perfect for a seasoned shooter. The real draw for these yashica’s is the price to quality ratio. These days camera prices are rising at an incredible rate but the yashica’s (not including the 124) have staid relatively affordable. The taking lens on almost all Yashica tlr’s is a 75mm f3.5 that is sharp with with great color rendition. The OOF is acceptable just don’t expect anything outstanding. Generally bokeh isn’t the main draw for a tlr and the uniqueness of the camera makes up for that. In summation of this over long explanation, tlr’s are great systems that help bring a new perspective to the act of capturing light. Give one a shot. Or 12.

Runway look description: For MR SL ♛ USA, Halloween doesn’t end in October even if Christmas is just around the corner. Which makes it perfect now for him to portray both holidays as Krampus the Christmas Demon! Krampus is an ancient pre-Christian folk story of an evil half-goat beast dressed as Santa who eats naughty children in Santa’s list & drags their souls to Hell! Krampus has been a prominent figure in American culture eversince the first European pilgrims settled in Massachusetts, where annual Krampus festivals are held every December 5th. Krampus is fascinating because although often depicted as pure evil, he was once a kind & devout Pagan servant & son of “Hel”, goddess of the Underworld. But he despised his dark mother & envied Saint Nicholas who was able to bring joy to all children. In retaliation, he dressed in disguise as Santa to take part in the joyous Christmas festivities. But once discovered, he was cursed by his mother as a hideous creature to serve the Underworld for eternity!

For this photo challenge, I wanted to think out of the box. Or in this case, out of the book. Because although Krampus has recently made its way to Hollywood cinema, it is an age-old tale written centuries ago. So I took inspiration from a haunted children’s pop-up story book, which also has a fashion rendition by American designer brand Neiman Marcus. For the execution of the photo, I created a custom backdrop of a book, library and all the 2-dimensional “pop-up” props you see. All of this along with myself were then photographed and post-edited in harmony to capture the essence, darkness and most importantly the weird & loony “kookiness” of Krampus. And no horrific Christmas tree is complete without a horrific angel atop it, thanks to my buddy Noah for giving his big bro a helping zombie hand!

I really wish I could find Wince a proper skeleton onesie.

It would appear I've abandoned my 52 week project. It would also be more accurate to say it appears I've more or less abandoned photography.

I originally was going to blame it on being in school and being too busy to have time for a hobby but the more I'm away from taking pictures the more I seem to realize that I'm just unhappy in general and I am deficient in creativity when unhappy or stressed out.

I'm sure I won't disappear from Flickr forever, but I also know this isn't an announcement of my return. Maybe there will never be a return. But I hope there will be.

I may not comment very much anymore, but I do still enjoy lurking through photostreams of my contacts, so keep it up :)

This was actually in a bathroom at an events venue. I don't know if you can tell, but I'm wearing a nude hose, cost me $1 from an op-shop, LOL. Sorry I haven't been posting much for a while, haven't really had anything to post because, well COVID and lockdowns. I'm hoping 2022 will be a better year for all of us. We deserve it right?

Went out for a dinner event at Platform 28 in Docklands, Melbourne. We eventually found ourselves at the Mail Exchange where I took this bathroom selfie. This is only the second time I've ever worn this dress out which is weird because I've had it for about at least a year now I think!
