Mijn moeder zei altijd;
"Alleen gekken en dwazen schrijven hun naam op muren en glazen."
y como nací en primavera lo adorno con un toque primaveral... Feliz finde!

When I thought about the subject of my name in bw, I thought of something that had meaning to me and that described my name and who I am.
To begin with, I love my name even if it is common, because it has a positive meaning and I am like that, positive, the part of my body was chosen in the wrist, because it is there where we often feel our heartbeat and the radial vein passes, important and that for me it means feeling alive. And use the natural light of the sun in the morning and from the front because my name means BORN with the FIRST LIGHT of the DAY (5:45 am)
Lucia is both a feminine given name and a surname. It comes from the Latin word Lux meaning 'light'. It is the feminine form of the Roman praenomen Lucius and can be alternatively spelled as Lucy.
Deriva dal praenomen latino Lúcia, femminile di Lucius, basato sul termine lux, "luce"; può significare "luminosa", "splendente"; veniva dato anticamente alle bambine nate alle prime luci del mattino.
Luz o la que nace en la primera luz del dia. ... Lucía es un nombre propio femenino de origen latino que significa «luz» (en latín: lux) o «la que nació con la primera luz del día».
I always hated my name at school, it always seemed like there was no limit to the number of hurtful variations around the theme that other children would come up with...Tupence, Threpence, Halfpenny, Money Penny, Penny Farthing...the list went on. And, if the teacher ever happened to mention my full name, I would be referred to as Lady Penelope or Penelope Pitstop for the rest of the day...shame I didn't have a country pile and the chauffeur to go with it! Happy LCoF! :-)
....concludes my recent publication of his PoW diaries with a final sentence:
"In later life my father liked baking and used to make fruit cake, Suffolk rusks and trifle, although thankfully using more suitable ingredients than those available when he was in the PoW camps."

Das kommt aus dem Lateinischen und bedeutet "Die Glückliche".
This comes from the Latin and means "The Happy One".
Dieser Zollstock mit meinem Namen war ein Geschenk meines Mannes. Weil ich immer seine genommen und dann irgendwo im Haus liegen gelassen habe. :)
This folding rule with my name on it was a gift from my husband. Because I always took his and then left it somewhere in the house. :)

Names aren't just coathooks, they're coats.
They're the first thing anyone knows about you.

The theme for “Looking Close… on Friday” on the 19th of February is “my name is”, and it must be a black and white image. This made me think. When I heard the theme, I wrote my name out cursive script as I usually do. I imagined my surname, Raaen, to be like a long curling ribbon, blowing in the breeze like the tail of a kite. I decided to combine this idea with my love of illustration and drawing, including silhouettes, which I have always loved ever since I was a child looking at my faerie tale books of Arthur Rackham. I came up with this silhouette illustration of my name on a windy day. It is surrounded by the tools I used to create it: an HB grey lead pencil, an eraser, a pencil sharpener and a black felt tip pen. I do hope that you like my creative choice of the theme.
