This ancient mill is located above Porthmoina Cove near the cliffs at Bosigran.
Porthmoina Mill is a late 18th to early 19th century water-powered tin stamping and dressing mill. The mill went out of use sometime between 1842 and 1876, however despite being abandoned a long time ago it is recognised as being well preserved. The National Trust carried out some conservation work on a revetment wall in the mid 1990's following concerns that it was unstable. The mill is likely to have been associated with the nearby Carn Galva tin mine at the head of the valley.

Custom manufactured equipment for a Gold Mine in BC. An innovative idea and concept that we helped bring into reality for a customer and their engineering dept. Spanning over 10 feet in diameter and fabricated from material able to resist chemicals that are highly corrosive to typical metals, this monster is wellington plastics' workmanship at its best!
