Minecraft is incredibly addictive. This greenhouse probably took me about 2 hours to mine the coal, dig the sand, create the glass (3 furnaces) and do the build. didn't fall off once, but did have some exploding zombie setbacks.

And my first spawn into 1.8.1 is the worst spawn ever. I'm in the middle of a huge ocean dotted with tiny resourceless islands.

The redstone circuitry that powers my trash incinerator. It's actually extremely compact for all it does and its fun to watch the piston move the sandstone block back and forth 4 times a second.
Ray and I decorated a large cardboard box with paper and black duct tape to resemble a Minecraft chest. Ray used a piece of scrap wood painted gray to make the latch. We used it to camouflage the drink cooler. We used an old dorm fridge to hold "potions" (aka more drinks).
Part 2 of the cakes we made for today. This minecraft cake features Herobrine on the front and a Ghast and an Enderman on the back. If you don't know what I am talking about, ask your kids. They will tell you all about it.
With LEGO's own rendition of the more recent Minecraft Nether biomes arriving shortly, I'd thought I'd have a go at creating my own version.
This playset-style model tries to depict the Crimson and Warped Forests, as well as a Bastion Remnant. Some custom detailing helps to tie the piglins together.
I recently bought set 21186 and decided to upgrade it some. The first thing I did was add a sliding piston door. Why do so few MC sets have doors? I then replaced the grass with snow and extended everything so it would fit on a MILS module. I built it into a short mountain to explain why there wasn't a back. (Might do more mountain modules at some point) the hollowed out mountain made a great bedroom and brewing cave.
