Waiting at the bus station makes up a big part of the journey. Here, where you usually have no indication about which busses come through and not a clue what the schedule might be, you will find plenty of time to ask other people for direction, be mislead by wrong indications, have a beer/ cachaça or other things.

The only certainty you have, is that at this place, there are busses coming through. When one of those approaches, make clear that you want the bus to stop!
