Sister to Sister Knitting & Crochet Corner is held every Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Countee Cullen Library at 104 W 136th St, New York, NY 10030? Women and children of all ages from the community, come together where they can learn the skill of knitting and crocheting, and develop the art of creating fabric from yarn. Each week 25-35 people gathered together and engage in great conversation and bonding with women in the community.
Sister to Sister: One in the Spirit (Sister to Sister) is dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women in the Harlem community by encouraging them to nurture their body, mind and spirit through inspirational conferences and programs. Our focus on spirituality, health, relationships, career and economic development helps to create a dynamic shift in the mindset and behavior of women of color in Harlem and the greater New York community.
