Saat berbicara di Indonesia Millennial Summit mengenai “The Future of Media” bersama Menkominfo Chief Rudiantara, dan CEO IDN Times Winston Utomo.

Soal masa depan media, saya mengatakan bisa suram, bisa juga menjanjikan.

Kalau soal mediumnya, ya suram. Karena medium lama mulai terdisrupsi oleh media sosial dan raksasa platform global.

Namun masih ada celah untuk media agar bisa survive di masa depan, yaitu di sisi kontennya. Kalau kita pandai mengemas konten (berbasis data) maka akan berhasil dan bertahan.

Saya membayangkan suatu saat saat sedang berkaca di pagi hari saya tanya “siri berita apa pagi ini?”. Maka di kaca akan muncul berita tvOne.

Mediumnya mungkin bukan lagi free to air, tapi yang muncul tetap tvOne yang digemari kontennya dan tetap ditonton karena dipercaya sebagai sumber berita.
