The San Rafael Reef runs basically north to south. This hogback dips steeply eastward at the eastern side of the San Rafael Swell. The central and northern parts of the Swell are composed mostly of multicolored sandstone mesas, faulted and joined so as to give a checkerboard appearance. The rest of the area consists of canyons from 200 to 1,000 feet deep that also drain eastward. Fins jut vertically from the desert floor in the northeastern part of the San Rafael. The San Rafael Desert hits the 75 mile long reef that rises up to the San Rafael Swell.
For a little bit of a reference look just to the left of the bush. That small gray line is Interstate 70.

In the sunny heart of the Cinque Terre in Monterosso al Mare, the most famous holiday destination in Liguria, In 1980 Michele and Simonetta gave life to their dream: to create a restaurant where you can discover the genuine traditional flavors of the Cinque Terre. Over the years the restaurant acquires great consensus from its clientele and from the guides of the sector joining the Michelin guide in 1990 which assigns him two forks and then he joined the Touring guide, Espresso guide, Gambero Rosso and numerous magazines in the sector. Daughter Sara and husband Boris continue their journey. To date, the whole family isactively engaged with the heart and passion in the restaurant where the Ligurian tradition is revived and elaborated in a modern way.

Boris supports Miky in the kitchen in the choice of raw materials and in the preparation of new dishes and in the preparation of pasta, all strictly home made from spaghetti alla chitarra to stuffed pasta. Simonetta and Sara are in charge of the Sala, they are the ones who take care of pampering customers making them feel at home.
The wines are carefully chosen with particular attention in the proposal of local wines.

I had of shot a number of blue hour shots which I partially used to augment the base shot. This is shot from the boat ramp parking lot and there are now two really bright and rather obnoxious security lights installed that cast their light everywhere and kind of ruin the night time atmosphere. So on the left side with the rocks I had to blend in a bit of the blue hour shot to tone down those lights. The rock in the right corner I had to light paint a little bit with my flashlight, because it was in shadow and too dark.
I brightened up the lake a bit by blending in a longer and brighter exposure from the blue hour, being careful not to eliminate the reflections of the stars. This way I could raise the brightness of the night exposure without introducing more noise.
Otherwise the night was glorious with stars down to the horizon. Jupiter, Antares and a few others were casting their own reflections on the water which to my surprise came out really well in the shot.
Scorpio was lying flat on the horizon, thereby signalling the end of the summer. Those of you who know their way around the night sky will be able to identify it.
Made from 11 light frames with 9 dark frames by Starry Landscape Stacker 1.8.0. Algorithm: Mean Min Hor Star Dupe.
