A flower shot taken in the flower garden in Pittencrief Park, Dunfermline. The park was gifted to the town by Andrew Carnegie, and these gardens are maintained by the local council.

A 1924, 78 unit, hotel located in Hollywood across the street from the Warner Bros. Studio (before Warner Bros. relocated to Burbank in 1930 and 1931). A pre-1930 advertisement indicates the hotel had 100 rooms ("all with baths").
It was on this rooftop where NABF heavyweight boxer Mike Hunter was shot to death when he pointed a gun at plainclothes Los Angeles Police Department officers (who had set up a drug buy-bust sting operation) on Feb 8, 2006.
While some have claimed that this hotel is a Los Angeles Historic and Cultural Monument it does not, however, appear on the city's list.
Note the chains on the shuttered window in the leftmost gable.

For me, the most amazing part of the Abbey. This is the remains of the original 12th Century Abbey, and has a real eeryness to it.
As a musician (I play trumpet), I've been fortunate enough to have played in the Nave and the stonework, high ceilings and the reverberations they create make for a fantastic sound!

Theses are council maintained gardens within Pittencrief Park, the public park of Dunfermline gifted to the people of the town by Andrew Carnegie.
They say familiarity breeds contempt; how true. Despite having stayed in this area my whole life and now only living 5 minutes walk from here, this is only the 2nd time in maybe 10 years that I've actually walked through the gardens!
