Earlier this month, my friend Howard and I went to The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco before the "Tezuka: The Marvel of Manga" exhibition ended.
Illustrator Michael Kaluta's Manhattan studio in 1992. Taken for the Tundra Sketchbook series (eventually published by Kitchen Sink Press in 1993. nominated for an Eisner Award) I was very into capturing high-contrast and high-grain images at that time.
Mighty Atom made by William Foster and Co. in Minster's Yard outside Lincoln Cathedral. Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
This shows a prominent figure, Bethoven, who in reality, we may not all have his atoms, because there are trillions of atoms, but not just Bethoven, when you think about how many people there are, and factor in that atoms never die, you are really one big walking, talking, and thinking recycle bin!

FE1456 1937 Foster tractor named Mighty Atom was new to a Derbyshire owner.Moved back to Lincolnshire in 1959 and has been restored by its currant owner over the last few years.The trailer is a nice period touch.
