These things snaked all over the Sunken Forest. I was impressed with the quality of their construction.

It's pretty incredible walking up and down Fire Island's east-facing beach--it seems to just go on forever.

We didn't get naked, but we did find it a lot more peaceful than the clothed beach. People seemed to keep a respectful distance and really, in the context of a beach, nakedness seems like the better choice.

I managed to write some bad essays on my little Palm keyboard setup. Maybe I'll look at them someday and see if they can be salvaged.

It seemed pretty lonely out there, with nothing but sand and grass to keep it company.

She's gotta be my baby: I took copious shots of this c.'50s restored pleasure boat that was on the river during our microvacation. When Charlotte figured out to say 'boat', she then would point and say, "Dada, boat....cooool." That's my girl!
