Some say good fortune can only enter through an unbarred doorway, but obviously you can't have that on your fortification. As a separate building out front, now there's an idea.
The Motorola J2-12 is an tropospheric survey ship. It uses a mag drive to control its hover altitude and velocity. Normally the J2-12 is dropped from orbit, and then picked up once the survey is complete. Usually, it is used for hi-resolution local surveys, as planetary surveys are easier to accomplish from orbit.
For some reason, I'm incapable of building in color...
The Variable-Vector Gunship Libatrix is a capable fighting ship in close quarters, deep space and choppy atmospheric flight - the angled, adjustable thrust modules striped in the stand-out teal are at the heart of the vessel's effectiveness. They take a co-pilot just to keep in check; this crew member usually controls the underslung beta-wave pulse cannons, too, laying suppressive fire against a range of targets.
Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!
A huge thanks to Ulrik for the idea and the cool techniques!
Velma: "There's a very logical explanation for all this."
Shaggy: "Quick, tell me."
Velma: "The place is haunted."
Shaggy: "Thanks a lot."

Others may now it as the Poison Citadel.
This will be my brother-n-law's birthday present, hopefully he likes it as much I liked my present. Heavily influenced by the Skeksis's Castle. There's a couple of parts to finish it off and I will print a title for the base as well.
My version of a typical Classic Space Scene from the 70th. The models Galaxy Explorer LL928, Space Cruiser LL924, Space Transport LL918, Space Shuttle 442 and Mobile Rocket Launcher 462. But very tiny.
It's being in my new book LEGO tips for kids: SPACE: Cool projects for your bricks .

Confession : I've taken inspiration from a very talented Dutch builder ( @wolskameijerink on Instagram ) for the frame technique.

Bonsol Colony, a space dock/base.
This is my first SHIP and by far my largest MOC, covering 2x5 XL baseplates (23040 studs). It took about 10 months to build.
