Some builds take on their own life. This loco started out as tablescrap with the cannon part. I gave it some rolling stock thinking it might be a cute holiday train. Instead it got huffy and demanded a bridge. And a bridge needs something to cross ...

Micro scale version of 8778 Border Ambush from Knights Kingdom II. This was one of my favorite lego themes as a kid and and I had 2 copies of this set.

Model by Tom Vanhaelen with light kit

Originally only intended as a background piece, but now with smoother shaping and wheels that can actually roll, it feels more substantial.

Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!

A huge thanks to Ulrik for the idea and the cool techniques!

Though lacking the sheer cargo capacity of inner-system superhaulers, the Nisse Class remains prized among frontier pilots for its high endurance and unusually overstatted engine system, which afford it the longevity and survivability required to effectively operate beyond the edge of populated space.

For days Grogald fought the beast. The heat of the dragon's flame only further fueled Grogald's fury. With one final swing from his flail, the great wyrm was plunged into a vast subterranean abyss. His wail seemed to shake the very fabric of time and fate.

In the darkness of the uninhabited midwest of the galaxy shines Stellersville, visible from lightyears away. Thanks to unexpensive rents, this small city boasts of the high number of spaceship insurrance companies having established their headquarters there.

Dabbling in more sci-fi microscale ships! It looks better in real life. :( Sorry that I haven't been particularly active on flickr, esp. in uploading, haven't had the time.

New series of MOCs incoming...

I know I promised more pics of my microscale JET Tokamak building but life got busy ...

hopefully better late than never

if you want to know what this building is, look at the explanation here

Something from a while back I never got around to posting. I hope you like it! :)

I made the original version of this MOC for a contest a while ago, but the picture was kinda blurry and I thought I should modify it a little. The main differences are the display stand of course (which now looks more like the UCS set), and the base structure especially. Other than a few color changes here and there, it's pretty much the same. I just wanted a better picture.

Took me a couple hours build time over two days, plus modifications afterwards.

The Rueful Autumn is a customised Tigermouth gunship used by a special operations team of the Widebrim mercenary group; it is rugged and hard wearing as befits the group and survived many an encounter were the odds were stacked against it. A single pair of long ranged, tunnelling particle cannons as well as a micromine launcher make the ship more of a clever combatant than a back street brawler, but no combatant worth their salt attacks the Autumn without some serious forethought.

Obvious movie inspired.

From the humblest house to the tallest tower, every structure on the Mountain uses the whitestone mined here, the result of centuries of mineral buildup on the Mountain's shell.

Not as clean a build as I would like. This is mostly a hodgepodge of table scraps that have built up.

I have two unicorn sets, both from my childhood. The one this is based on, and a little blue garage my Grandpa got me. One day I'll own mint versions of them. For now, "Space. I'm in space!"

From top left to bottom right: a CR90 Corvette (Rebel Blockade runner), a Nebulon B Frigate, two Sphyrna-class corvettes (Hammerhead corvette), one Braha'tok-class gunship, the Ghost (from Rebels), the Millennium Falcon, and 3 GR-75 medium transport.

The fleet is to-scale with the recent UCS Star Destroyer, with one stud approximately equal to 12 meters. The Blockade runner is just the one from that set, everything else is my own design.

The ships making up this fleet were selected loosley based upon the remnants left over the Battle of Scarif, and on the ships at the rendezvous point at the end of Empire Strikes Back.

Another entry for microscale models contest.

19 Lego pieces used.

Another Zoom call LEGO tablescrap. This microscale mech walker turned out pretty fun.

My boyfriend dabbling in microscale. He built a cute viking ship. The water and landscape is one of the mils plates that is in the elven village.

A few mini dioramas using some 6x6 flat tiles I got a while back. I love them; I'm definitely getting more of them soon.

Top picture is a basic port with a cargo ship and navy destroyer. On the port itself is a building with a helipad and an administrative facility.

Bottom left is a spaceport with a small ship.

Bottom right is a launch site, and in this case, I used Brickarms M6 rockets to represent nuclear warheads.

One of the great things about conventions is that I get super excited about building given all the awesome stuff going on. The bad news is that I'm usually super tired too. This time around I made a real effort to channel some of that excitement before it dampens and here is the first real result.

I built something and I don’t know what it is :)
