The main building at Gettysburg College (originally Pennsylvania College). It originally served as dormitory, academic building, library, offices and chapel. During the battle at Gettysburg, the college's edifice was used as a hospital for more than 700 wounded rebel soldiers.

This model took a couple tries, with the portico being the starting point each time. Half-stud offsets give the portico just enough space, but not quite too much. I've always hated the solution of lightsabre blades which were used on the 21006 White House, as it makes the model look entirely out of scale and quite childish. These columns have some necessary beef and substance to them.

The Motorola J2-12 is an tropospheric survey ship. It uses a mag drive to control its hover altitude and velocity. Normally the J2-12 is dropped from orbit, and then picked up once the survey is complete. Usually, it is used for hi-resolution local surveys, as planetary surveys are easier to accomplish from orbit.

The Oroso Conclave have the most careful, defence-minded and tactical military forces of the known races, outside of the Vonn. Their priority lies squarely in defence, their fightcraft lack FTL ability. Instead, they need to land on a 'mother' ship or be stored on a rack in transport.
The T'frr is the primary fightercraft fielded by the Conclave; it is nimble, capable and well-armed against a variety of threats with wing and chin mounted cannons.
Although reasonably small, the ship needs two crew. In common with most Oroso, the crew of a T'frr live and exist in very close quarters. This closeness is key to their relationship and fighting ability; if one of a pilot-pair dies or is unable to fight again, the other often struggles to adjust back to military life.
The T'frr served admirably against the European Union forces during the brief Human-Oroso conflict, bested only by the late introduction of Grendel Squadron.

Introducing concept build:
I think some people have come to value "technique", i.e., SNOT, "NPUUUUU", tiling every damn stud (TEDS) over the actual form and aesthetics of what they are building.
This was purposefully a lo-fi build. It is one of the largest things I have built, but it also has one of the lowest part/volume ratios. I wanted to quickly convey a concept with some bricks I had on hand rather than flesh out everything to the last greeblie. Aside from the technic pieces everything is is studs-up.
Finally digitized this creation. It has a few more fixes, namely a more clear interior, folding fins, better guns, and rear landing gear. The arms also move up and down at the shoulder area slightly but I forgot to animate that. There are instructions for this model here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47640/TheRealBeef1213/prowler

A 1:125 scale ship. It has a full interior as always. Though there is space for the bed and toilet I don't have the pieces for them. This is also why the ship is blue not grey.
The landing gear retracts though not very well. there is also a engine room added from the cross section of the ship. It is removable to access the lower cargo hold.
The lower hatch is also there but it is kept closed to keep the 3 stud wide part of the ship and the 4 stud wide part of the ship together.
Here's my attempt at a microscale build of Red Spacecat's USS Saratoga Destroyer.
I didn't have enough bright green cheese, so olive green will have to do. Some details aren't quite right, but its challenging to condense a SHIP into 16 studs long.

If you’ve got this year’s City Advent Calendar you may have noticed some of the models, such as the plane & the crane, are representations of real LEGO sets. I thought it a pretty cool idea so here is my own addition: The two current LEGO train sets. (Sorry for poor photo quality!)

The police HQ, unlike The Rockaway, was not based on a real building. It was based on what was abundant in the Pick-A-Brick wall. ;-)
