[ 螢光 山徑 2019 ]

將交通工具當成MD來用, 這麼大的主體可以實現的第二種拍攝法, 是造景, 故意離得更遠來拍, 將這麼大的MD拍小, 順便包含更多現場與背景的元素, 也可以說是在完全沒有景的環境中, 利用機車或汽車, 和環境的搭配來造景, 黑夜中的山路上出現汽車, 機車, 都不奇怪, 會是很合理的畫面與景色.

螢火蟲是會讓人感覺比較夢幻的題材, 如果使用一樣夢幻虛構的卡通人物公仔, 就會拍出整個都是不真實而夢幻的畫面, 所以, 如果出現了反差高的現實中常見的物件, 如機車, 汽車, 便會呈現出一種使用卡通公仔不會有的反差與現實感, 其實這樣呈現出來的感覺也相當有趣.

這張照片也是使用長焦大光圈鏡頭, OM 55mm F1.2 所拍攝的, 和常見的小公仔拍攝法不同的是, 因為主體尺寸的差異, 小公仔的拍攝通常是要近拍, 然後捕捉後方 ( 公仔與背景之間) 的散景, 而大公仔的拍攝就必須遠拍, 然後捕捉前方 ( 鏡頭與公仔之間 ) 散景, 所以後者在整體佈局與盲構圖上, 也相對的會比較困難.

在六本木之丘的展望台, 當然不只可以拍東京鐵塔啦, 往正西邊看過去, 正好就是首都高3號涉谷線, 道路上暖色系的照明, 貫穿了冰冷的城市夜景, 這個畫面與角度, 也只有在這裡才能拍得到!

其實在這樣一望無際的夜景燈光中, 你會發現日本城市的燈光用色很整齊規律, 不會有五顏六色的雜光, 一律就是冷色系, 只有重要的特定設施才會用暖色光照明, 這似乎也是一種城市規劃吧?😮

Common Kingfisher.

This sparrow-sized bird has the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile; it has blue upperparts, orange underparts and a long bill. It feeds mainly on fish, caught by diving, and has special visual adaptations to enable it to see prey under water.

[ 人眼無法看見的美 ]

有些畫面, 比如說慢速快門的拖曳, 高速快門的凝結, 小光圈的星芒, 大光圈的散景, 螢火蟲的累積, 這些都是可以運用相機拍攝出來, 而單靠人眼在現場其實無法看見的美, 這個題材也是我個人覺得容易產生好照片的方向之一, 當然還有一個例子, 就是極度黑暗下所拍攝出來的風景, 這樣的風景畫面上, 光的方向與組成會與白天大不相同, 我個人偏好在這種拍攝的時候, 保持足夠的暗部面積與對比, 讓這類照片看起來依然能感覺到是在夜間所拍攝的.🤔

這張照片便是在沒有月光的極度黑暗下所拍攝出來的, 在現場除了黑色微微的地景輪廓, 其實幾乎甚麼顏色也看不到, 嘗試將水庫的壩體做為主體, 帶入桐花與倒影的構圖來拍攝, 比較特別的就是拍攝出來以後, 才知道原來現場還有紅葉, 促成了桐花, 紅葉, 螢火蟲的畫面, （還有點像櫻花加紅葉）此外, 下方水面上出現了幾條細細的螢火蟲倒影, 算是今年拍攝螢火蟲的作品中, 比較意外的收穫.😮

#這張等了25分鐘才有兩隻迷路的螢火蟲飛過鏡頭前方...😂

I missed when the actual front moved through the city, but I was able to capture some nice wispy clouds weaving through the buildings of downtown Buffalo, NY. Image made with my Olympus OM-D e-M1 mk2 and the m.Zuiko 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens. The cloud movement comes from using the Olympus Hi-Res shot that stacks 8 exposures into one 80mp RAW file. So the base exposure was 1/30th, but that means the shutter was open for about 1/4 second and these clouds were moving pretty fast off Lake Erie. Processed in On1 Photo RAW 20.1.

I haven't posted as much lately because I've been wrapped up in a project around the wedding of a couple good friends, but I wanted a little diversion. Post Processing: The heavy lifting was done by On1 Photo RAW 2020.2 with a roundtrip to Nik Silver Efex Pro for the mono conversion and film emulation.

[ 獨角仙 ]

拍攝獨角仙真的是一種非常考驗光法的事情, 因為他們深色到黑色的身體還有一種反光的特性, 拍出來往往會整個黑, 或者整個反光死白, 好在獨角仙往往不好動, 有機會讓人慢慢調整離閃的角度...

.

最簡單的方式, 就是用離閃加上柔光罩來拍, 離閃最基本的就是可以自訂光的方向, 同時決定高光與陰影的相對位置, 像這樣讓獨角仙的輪廓亮起來, 處於高光之中, 而腹部則保持低光, 讓中間的體色與質感呈現在明暗過渡的區域之中, 個人覺得這樣的光感應用在甲蟲的身上是最美的...

#其實就是把獨角仙當作人像MD來拍啦.

#當然這個光法也可以用在商品攝影等等範疇.

[ 鷲峰山 高台寺 ]

高台寺是很靠近清水寺的紅葉名所, 境內面積其實不大, 但卻是小而巧小而美的極致, 庭園中幾乎將所有日式庭園的元素都備齊了, 有假山, 枯山水, 倒影水池, 棧橋, 道觀, 竹林, 對於攝影愛好者來說, 是出片率極高的一個熱點, 也難怪每年紅葉時期, 這邊日夜都是人聲鼎沸...😅

高台寺當然也是禁用腳架, 但17年去的時候, 人潮實在太多了, 似乎廟方的管理也開始鬆散了, 這天從進場開始, 我一直看到一個老外遊客, 偷偷的使用正規大腳架在拍倒影, 但是卻一直沒有園區的工作人員來制止, 這和15年去的時候那種雷厲風行的管理態度可以說天差地遠...當然, 身為一個有品的攝影者, 禁止使用就不要心存僥倖, 這種時候就靠手持和放在欄杆或地上這兩招了...🤔

拍攝倒影的時候, 放在欄杆上或放地上, 角度都會太低, 其實這種庭園都有設計過的, 最好的觀賞高度大多會是正常成人的視線高度, 所以還是手持拍攝效果最好, 這天在園區裡面, 使用12-100pro拍攝的照片, 幾乎每張照片都是iso200, 手持0.5秒~2秒就可以通通搞定, 但這個景太廣, 只有8pro裝得下, 雖然8pro不支援雙防震, 好在他是超短焦景深超深, 光圈最大又有1.8, 所以, 用iso200快門1/3秒也足夠拍下正常曝光的照片.😂

這張照片是在棧橋的邊邊角角所拍攝的, 我個人覺得這個角度看過去的倒影, 比較不會受到其他岸上的樹木遮擋, 為了等到沒有太多人擠在右邊的路上, 其實也是等了很久才有這樣一張比較乾淨的畫面, 但我通常不會期待人全部走光, 留下一個人或一對情侶這樣, 不但可以做為場景的比例尺, 通常畫面也會更協調好看.

#這是此行第四夜也是第一個沒有下雨的夜晚...😭

#8pro光圈全開就有非常好的畫質...

#因為要搶拍少人的空檔所以光圈就沒再縮了...😂

[ 活力旺盛的2018螢火蟲 ]

覺得今年的螢火蟲和往年的有點不一樣, 首先是天還沒黑就已經開始到處飛, 還有就是往年都是到晚上9點差不多就沒搞頭了, 但今年即使到10點, 10點半, 都還是有不少零星螢火蟲繼續飛行, 今年拍到現在三次, 都是這個感覺...🤔

[ 追焦 ]

追焦其實有兩種, 一種指的是相機本身的追蹤連續對焦功能, 而另一種指的是針對高速移動物體的特殊拍攝手法, 後者同時也是一種攝影主題的形式, 這個攝影手法可以運用在很多會規律移動的主體上, 比方說鐵道攝影, 賽車攝影, 雲霄飛車, 纜車, 某些生態攝影時也會用到, 甚至以前我還在養汽水河豚的時候, 也常常用追焦的方式來拍攝他們...😅

.

我的追焦拍攝方式, 是先觀察地形, 找到想要的背景, 再預估主體行進路線, 然後先決定好當主體到達何處時就要按下快門, 因為只有這樣才能在拍攝前, 就先把背景決定好, 把圖給構好, 當背景能確定下來, 主體在畫面中的位置和大小也就可以預先妥善規劃了, 再來就是等主體從遠方出現的時候, 鏡頭就要開始跟著主體跑, 這時可以先對焦數次但都不拍攝, 只是為了讓主體在畫面中能夠更為清晰的呈現以方便後續作業, 然後主體接近時, 開始配合主題的移動速度來擺動鏡頭, 設法跟上並保持速擺鏡速度, 讓主體在畫面中始終保持在相同的位置, 同時也要讓對焦框持續地放在主體身上, 等主體快要到達預設的拍攝位置時, 做一次半按快門對焦後立刻全按快門拍攝, 當然, 此時也要持續的跟車慣性擺鏡, 直到快門聲結束才可以停止擺鏡, 只要上述這些步驟都有做到位, 那麼即使是用-單點對焦-單張拍攝-來拍攝追焦主題, 你的拍攝成功率也會高得很嚇人...👍

Scenes from the BLM Rally in Buffalo - June 6th

I had gotten into a fairly heated debate with someone about parenting and exposing kids to events like a Civil Rights rally or march. These are a handful of shots from last week's rally including a couple images of fathers and daughters. At no point was any violence in the offing.

For those that like the technical details, These images were made with my Olympus OM-D e-M1.2 and the sublime m.Zuiko 75mm f1.8 lens. All images were processed in On1 Photo RAW 2020 with a roundtrip to Nik Silver Efex Pro.

[ 江ノ電 御霊神社 ]

東京行的第四天, 是整日的自由活動, 一行人一大清早就出發前往鎌倉, 以江之島電鐵為主軸, 展開一連串的寺廟巡禮與鐵道攝影行程, 晚上, 又前往橫濱去拍了一下夜景, 然後在橫濱與STC的朋友們聚餐結束後, 才甘心回新宿休息, 這天的步行總數接近3萬步, 而且其中一大段路是在爬山, 真的有點累啊...😂

江之島電鐵沿線, 因為緊鄰湘南海岸與民宅街道, 有許多適合鐵道攝影構圖的點, 而其中有一個相對比較小但別具特色的攝影點, 便是長谷站附近的御霊神社, 這間神社的入口鳥居因為就位於江之島電鐵的線路旁, 每隔幾分鐘就會有一班電車呼嘯而過, 所以可以在電車通過的瞬間, 拍到同時具有神社, 鳥居, 櫻花, 和江之島電鐵車體的經典畫面.

Another of my images that I've published in the past by my Mac decided to purge the sidecar file and I lost my edits. If gave me the chance to approach it from a new angle. Once again, for those that have been seeing my images in their feeds for the past few years, I apologize for the duplicate.

Gear: Olympus OM-D e-M1.2 with the m.Zuiko 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens - 15mm | f5.6 | 1/320 | ISO200.

Software: Initial processing in DxO PhotoLab as it's camera profiles does the best job in bringing out the optimal Olympus colors, the adjusted in On1 Photo RAW 2021 with a roundtrip to Nik Silver Efex Pro (blended back into the original file using On1 Layers).

話說汐止, 有山有水有溪有瀑布, 有濟德宮, 有夢湖, 有新山, 有桐花, 有荷花, 有蛇蛙, 有螢火蟲, 還有個星光橋...有時候覺得星光橋還滿有趣的, 橋上可以拍星軌, 橋下可以拍龍骨, 也可以從遠處拍拍麥克風錯位, 雖然橋下面的燈光常常是半殘的狀態, 但至少還算有個地景給你拍啊...🤔
