PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: Shelly got me this FABULOUS lady at Target for my 38th birthday in 2025. My birthday is actually Groundhog's Day, but Shelly gave me my presents two days early! So, I opened this lovely lady on January 31st, 2025. Shelly wanted me to open my surprise presents on a Friday because my birthday was on a Sunday and she wanted me to have the whole weekend to enjoy my birthday presents. It wound up being lucky that Shelly decided to do the early birthday surprise because our guinea pig Delilah passed away on my actual birthday.
It took me nearly a week to do this girl's Flickr write up because I could not decide on a name! I wanted her to have a name because these Fashionistas don't come with names and she's special and deserves one. I named my other Fashionistas with Down Syndrome Mya. I had her name pre-selected way before I got her. Shelly surprised me with Mya as well- I wanted Mya the moment Shelly showed me the stock photos and, knowing I had my heart set on her, Shelly picked her up for me at Walmart when she was on sale!
I tried to pick Shelly's brain for name ideas. Shelly said, "How about Ashanti, like the singer?" and "How about Aaliyah, like the singer?" (Shelly named one of her Malibu Barbies Aaliyah already...and she named TWO of her Barbies Beyonce growing up.) Neither name felt right. I kept thinking, "Amaya", but I think that name was on my brain because Shelly bought herself Queen Amaya from Wish, coincidentally on the same Target trip, though she told me an elaborate lie beforehand about having had to go to Walmart for needles to reroot her Farrah doll (because she didn't want me to know she'd been doing secret birthday shopping for me at Target) and finding the Wish two pack there. Anyway, none of the names either of us came up with felt right, but then Tanisha popped into my head.
So, every year for the past three, I've done Safety Care training for my school district. I'm not really smart about anything functional, though I'm very smart on paper. I tend to memorize things I see in print. There's a scenario in the safety care manual that reads, "Tanisha is bored. Tanisha yells. Staff talks to Tanisha." Tanisha is this fictional person, but I sort of feel like I know her, so I'll remember the name! And I feel like this lovely doll looks like a Tanisha.
I love her smile and the set of her nose! I love her microbraids and her friendly eyes! I think she's even prettier without her super awesome pink glasses because they hide her face. Shelly told me they made her back when stock photos first appeared, but I'd forgotten by the time Shelly went on the birthday mission, so she was a total surprise! Tanisha is very unique and special. I am so lucky to have her!

She arrived finally. After almost 1 month of waiting I got Bratz Tokyo a Gogo Sasha. I have now all main dolls from this line yay
But I didn´t expect that her hair is so short.

I brought Nivah out for pictures on Friday too, and while I didn't get as many good ones of her, I think this might be my favourite portrait of her yet. It kinda looks like she's in a desert.
I undid all of her microbraids because they looked kind of funny after being pressed back for so long. I had no Idea she was going to turn out so beautiful and unique!
Here are individual tree braids done on one of Kristen Lock's repeat customers. She had been looking for someone who knew how to do individual tree braids for 6 years and then she found me! I was so excited to do her hair because I knew this was something that she would really appreciate. This is a great style because you get the look of a full weave with the versatility of individual braids. I think this is a great look on her. For this client I used Janet Collection Wet and wavy hair 18inch color 4. This may not be the color style that you wold like so do some research and find out what you think will be best for you.

Chandelier is an OOAK art doll in transparent Ice resin, adorned with diamonds embedded into her torso and crowned with a mulberry silk avant-garde wig.

Head sculpt is Inamorata Harper with S-size bust in transparent Ice resin. The body blushingis a mixture of different iridescent chameleon pigments that are more visible to naked eye than camera lens.
I carved a hole in the resin for each industrial diamond in right size and shape, and then glued in the moissanite stones. I've done this type of embedded crystals before to mimic stud piercings, but this is the first time covering the torso with them.
The avant-garde hard cap wig is white mulberry silk roving and synthetic microbraids adorned with drop shaped Swarovski crystals.
I love her so much and the Tokyo a Gogo is one of my fave Bratz lines. I hope I can collect them all

That's what you call the 'bumps' on my hair. Doing this on wet hair, makes your hair wavy. The waves last a few days. Growing up (and amongst my family) - I called them "chiney bumps".
