I recently made this Two Zip Hipster for a trip to Disney World. These pictures are after I carried it around for a week on our trip, so not quite as crisp and neat as it was when I first finished, but still looking nice!

This was a great pattern. (From here.) Easy to follow instructions, and the bag is fabulous. Perfect size for slinging across your body while on a trip to keep your hands free for other things--in my case, strollers and kids. Love this pattern.

Outside fabric is a Moda Crossweave (I think it's a green/brown combo). The inside lining fabric is from Denyse Schmidt's line for Joann's. The zippers are from ZipIt on Etsy, and the strap hardware I cut off of a bag I already owned.

As is basically is a "pattern pieces only" kind of pattern and I have not really sewn any bags or pouches before, I purchased the recommended Envelope Clutches pattern along with it to get "step-by-step" instructions. I found these instructions were thorough and easy to follow and I even learned a few additional tips and tricks that I can use for other projects as well.

This is a far venture from my normal fabric selection, but I have some friends that are Superman fans, so this seemed perfect!

Front pocket of the Two Zip Hipster. (Note, the top of the bag is stitched all the way around, it's just hanging over weirdly in this photo!)

First time sewing faux leather. It's not as difficult as I thought!

This will be the flap on a spring time version of the Keyka Lou Messenger Bag. The embroidery pattern is a William Morris design from the book Crewel Embroidery in England published in 1975. I modified it a bit and jazzed up the colors.

Here is my previous version of the messenger bag

This is the bonus size card wallet from michellepatterns.com. Loved the pattern and plan to make the smaller version next.
