Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic FK7 TCR No.94 entering turn 8 during Thursdays practice for the Michelin Pilot Challenge(TCR) race. Due to border lock downs, the IMSA series couldn't procede to Mosport Cananda for the WeatherTech 240 weekend. So thankfully, IMSA and Watkins Glen International made an agreement and IMSA stayed at The Glen to run the event on a Thursday & Friday. This event will go down as one of my most favorite and memorable. The weather was variable from heavy rain to sunshine, and because of a thunder storm going nearby during the big race Friday, the race was red flagged for a time and later restarted to finish in the dark. Also the crowds were small and it almost had the feeling of a club event.

The view from the Ninety grandstands with a little over 33 minutes remaining of the Watkins Glen 120. The race was delayed due to a storm that passed through with a wind driven torrential downpour, truly awesome, and unforgettable.

Turn 8 at Watkins Glen International-2021 WeatherTech 240 "weekend"-Thursday 7/1/2021

Did we bless them with good luck?? After winning the Forgeline Spirit of the Race award at Watkins Glen, Rebel Rock Racing came back strong, just one week later, and claimed victory in the super-competitive IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. And in the process, they won the ForgelineSOTR again for the second week in a row! It was an incredible combination of great driving, flawless pit stops, and some lucky cautions that helped Frank DePew and Robin Liddell hustle their #71 Rebel Rock Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels to the front, including a phenomenal performance by Liddell. And finishing just behind them in second place was another Forgeline GS1R-equipped machine, the #60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 piloted by Nate Stacy and Kyle Marcelli. Congrats to Frank, Robin, Nate, Kyle, Ford, Chevrolet, and everyone from Rebel Rock Racing & KohR Motorsports for another outstanding performance! And thanks for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!
