Following my Donner Superman, comes Tim Burton's Batman. Really like how they came out. Keaton Bruce Wayne was inspired by Dylan.
Medicom Mafex Spider-Man (w/ custom headsculpt by spider_machine) & Mezco One:12 Collective 1989 Batman
So I built the 1989 Batmobile over the course of the last seven or eight months and shared my work in progress as I worked through it with all my Patrons! It was a blast to share it as it was developed!
A huge inspiration goes out to Pat Lacroix here on flickr for his super neat Christmas Batmobile, as well as inspiration from the Lego Batman 3 digital model, as well as some others around the community that I based mine around! But seriously, great work on that design Pat! :)
If you want to see how mine all came together a step at a time, check out the 1989 Batman tag on my Patreon! Link in the bio!

After messing around with several designs over the past few weeks, I finally have a finalized design for a minifigure scale set of wings for Vulture from Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming. I'm super excited for this film to come out in a couple weeks! We've only seen Tom Holland's Spider-Man for roughly half a film, and already he might be my favorite cinematic Spider-Man so far!
When I was trying to decide what to build from the trailers, Vulture was the most interesting thing to me, so I began working on designs.
I did end up using photoshop for the eyes of Vulture. Not a big fan of LEGO's official minifigure. I think my custom figure works pretty well, all things considered.
I was working on this already, and then Grantmasters posted his awesome interpretation. Make sure to check his model out, too!
Enjoy!

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's let LEGO be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.
How could I pick up those two 1989 figs and not build some of the other Burton Bat-Characters?
So. Much. Black.

A scene from the Tim Burton Batman movie, I believe this is the first time we see the Batman properly, it definitely stuck in my mind as a kid and tried to re-created the scene with my action figures! There was no Lego Batman in those days lol
Happy Holidays one and all ; )
The original model kit from the movie, which I assembled back in the day. I didn't see fit to paint it, unfortunately.
The striped suit was a lot of fun to work out but the hair color gave me trouble! My whole life I thought his hair was green (despite having watched the cartoon where it's definitely blonde). I went back and forth on yellowish green, bright light yellow, and a mixture of the two. I settled on yellowish green (which was slightly warmed by the filter I used) since that's the color the minifig uses.
The style is also difficult to get right and I don't think I quite got it but it's close enough for me to call this done.
I haven't seen this movie in too long and building this has motivated me to remedy that.
Zagnut bar not included.
I loved Toy Story 3. Ken and Barbie made the whole movie for me. I'm not quite sure what outfit Ken wore in this scene, but Barbie was wearing the 'Barbie and the Rockers' outfit. It's near the end of the movie. But it goes by quick so pay close attention.
BTW if you're wondering why an original 'Animal Lovin' Ken' is so hard to find now, you can thank the team at Disney/Pixar. They bought up tons of them off ebay so almost everyone on the Toy Story team could have one.
Surprising how big the Keaton Batman is compared to Bale and the Arkham Asylum one (which is from the same series!). I have another one from BTAS on the way.

Although my grandson,Tyler's, big 'thing' is Indiana Jones these days, he still wears his Lighting McQueen slippers. Tyler and his little brother, Gavin, now have pretty much everything from the 'Cars', 'Thomas', 'Indiana Jones' and 'Star Wars' franchises. Gavin is now working on 'In the Night Garden'.

The last race of the Piston Cup stock car racing season ends in a three-way tie between retiring veteran Strip "The King" Weathers, perennial runner-up and dirty fighter Chick Hicks, and rookie Lightning McQueen. A tiebreaker race is scheduled for one week later at the Los Angeles International Speedway. McQueen, eager to start practice in California as soon as possible in order to become Cup champion and gain the sponsorship of Dinoco Oil, pushes his transport carrier, Mack, to travel all night long. Mack is too exhausted to notice when McQueen, asleep, falls out the back of the truck. McQueen awakes in traffic and speeds off to try to find Mack, but ends up in the run-down town of Radiator Springs, inadvertently tearing up its main street. The town is now only inhabited by an interesting group of automobliles who fulfill a number of functions. McQueen is arrested and tried the next day by the town's judge, Doc Hudson, who wants McQueen out of town as fast as possible. But at the insistence of Sally Carerra, the town's lawyer, Doc assigns McQueen to community service by ordering him to repave the road.
McQueen finds that the job of pulling the asphalt-laying machine requires a slow pace despite attempts to complete the job faster. As the days pass, McQueen becomes friends with many of the townsfolk, and learns that Radiator Springs was once a popular waypoint along U.S. Route 66, but that it effectively disappeared from the map when a bypass was built, causing many of the businesses and residents to leave. McQueen also discovers that Doc is actually the "Hudson Hornet", a three-time Piston Cup champion forced to retire after a racing accident. McQueen, encouraged by his new friends, successfully completes the road and spends an extra day in town cruising with Sally and getting a new paint job and tires. However, that night, Mack, followed by the media, finally catches up to McQueen, who reluctantly leaves Radiator Springs in order to make the race on time.
As McQueen prepares to race, his thoughts keep returning to his new friends, and his thoughts distract him from performing well. However, he is surprised to discover that Doc, outfitted in his "Hudson Hornet" colors, along with others from Radiator Springs are serving as his pit crew. Encouraged by their presence and their incredible pit stop speed, and by using tricks he learned from them while in Radiator Springs, McQueen is able to gain the lead. On the last lap of the race, Hicks purposely runs into The King while attempting to catch up to McQueen, and causes The King off the track and into the infield. McQueen stops inches short of winning the Cup to drive back and push The King across the finish line, thus preventing what happened to Doc from happening to The King. By doing so, he allows Hicks to take the Cup. After the race, Hicks is shunned for his tactics despite his victory, while McQueen is praised by The King and his wife as well as by the press and crowd for his sportsmanship. McQueen returns to Radiator Springs and announces that he will set up his off-season headquarters there, helping to revitalize the town and its business, much to the pleasure of his new friends.

French postcard by Editions Mercuri, no. 88. Photo: Warner Bros inc. Photo: Michael Keaton and Kim Basinger in Batman (Tim Burton, 1989).
American film actress and former top model Kim Basinger (1953) won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in L.A. Confidential (1997). Her other films include Never Say Never Again (1983), Nine ½ Weeks (1986), Batman (1989), and 8 Mile (2002). She was married to actor Alec Baldwin from 1993 to 2001.
Kimila Ann Basinger was born in 1953, in Athens, Georgia. She comes from an entertainment background. Her father was a musician, who played big-band jazz and her mother was a dancer, who had performed water ballet in several Esther Williams movies. As a schoolgirl, she was very shy. To help her overcome this, her parents had Kim study ballet from an early age. At 16, Basinger branched out into beauty pageants. She won the title of Junior Miss Georgia and competed at the national Junior Miss event in New York City. While in New York, Basinger caught the eye of a modeling agent at the Ford Modeling Agency. She soon landed a contract and first gained fame as a model for Breck Shampoo. At the age of 20, Kim was a top model commanding $1,000 a day. Throughout the early 1970s, she appeared on dozens of magazine covers and in hundreds of ads. In the mid-1970s, Basinger moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She landed a number of small parts at first, making guest appearances on such shows as Charlie's Angels. In 1978, Basinger starred in the TV movie Katie: Portrait of a Centerfold. She portrayed Lorene Rogers in the miniseries From Here to Eternity (1979) and its short-lived spin-off series the following year. In 1980, she married make-up artist Ron Snyder (they divorced in 1989). Basinger made her film debut in the Western drama Hard Country (David Greene, 1981) with Jan-Michael Vincent. Two years later, her career started to skyrocket with the James Bond film Never Say Never Again (Irvin Kershner, 1983) starring Sean Connery and with Basinger as the 'Bond girl'. More major film projects soon followed, including The Natural (Barry Levinson, 1984) with Robert Redford, the steamy romance 9 1/2 Weeks (Adrian Lyne, 1986) with Mickey Rourke, and . She played a small-town Texan beauty in Nadine (Robert Benton, 1987). Her breakout role was as photojournalist Vicki Vale in the blockbuster hit Batman (Tim Burton, 1989) with Michael Keaton. Kim was a last-minute replacement for Sean Young. This took her to a career high. Financial success also came along with her new found fame. But Basinger became known for her unusual business decisions. In 1989, she and some other investors bought the town of Braselton, in her native Georgia, for $20 million. Basinger sought to make the community near Atlanta a tourist destination, but she ended up selling it five years later as she faced personal bankruptcy.
While making The Marrying Man (Jerry Rees, 1991), Kim Basinger fell for her co-star Alec Baldwin. The pair wed in 1993, becoming one of Hollywood's most attractive yet volatile couples. Basinger and Baldwin welcomed their only child together in 1995. They named their daughter Ireland. Kim took some time off to stay at home with her child. Basinger's career had floundered a bit. In 1993, she found herself in an intense legal battle after breaking a verbal agreement to appear in Jennifer Lynch's Boxing Helena (1993). The court sided with the film's producers, ordering the actress to pay millions for breach of contract. The case was later overturned on appeal. In 1997, Basinger gave one of her greatest performances in L.A. Confidential (Curtis Hanson, 1997) opposite Kevin Spacey and Russell Crowe. She starred as a high-end prostitute with an intentional resemblance to actress Veronica Lake in this 1950s crime drama. She won an Academy Award for her work on the film. Despite this acclaim, Basinger soon appeared in more headlines than film roles. She filed for divorce from her husband Alec Baldwin in 2001 and spent years locked in a bitter custody dispute over their daughter. After her divorce, Kim Basinger took on few acting roles. She reteamed with L.A. Confidential director Curtis Hanson for the rap drama 8 Mile (Curtis Hanson, 2002) in which she played the mother of Eminem. Two years later, she co-starred with Jeff Bridges in The Door in the Floor (Tod Williams, 2004) and with Chris Evans and Jason Statham in the thriller Cellular (David R. Ellis, 2004). Basinger's later films include Charlie St. Cloud (Burr Steers, 2010) with Zac Efron and Grudge Match (Peter Segal, 2013) with Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone. She has also made a return to modeling, signing with IMG Models in 2013. Kim Basinger is a strict vegetarian, who devoted energy to animal rights issues and posed for anti-fur advertisements of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Recently, she appeared in the film The Nice Guys (Shane Black, 2016) with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.

Thanks to Rupert Valero I have the NECA Michael Keaton Batman figure, and I have so many portraits to share that I thought I'd better just declare this Batman Week here at the Geek Creek photostream.
My take on the sandworm from "Beetlejuice," complete with the ghost with the most himself and a purist animated-style Lydia Deetz.
Happy Halloween! Day-a-a-o!
Honestly a lot of rumours regarding Flashpoint, so I thought I’d add to my Batman collection with a custom cowl for Bale and Affleck and a modified Keaton look. Also the Clooney batman is in the back but the bat-nipples didn’t come out as clear in the pic. Lol.
"I'm a ghost with the most, babe."
-Beetlejuice from the movie "Beetlejuice" (1988)
I'm using a variation on nolnet's chest constrction idea here.
This is from a scene Michael Keaton did in the movie "My Life" . He plays a terminally ill man who will never meet his unborn son. So he decides to video tape his life and gives his son a shaving lesson. I don't know why that scene stuck in my head all these years.

Been waiting to do this one for a while now. Luckily the new head for TDK(R) Bats finally arrived yesterday. More on that later. Anyway, here are my three Batmen with hopefully at least a couple more customs getting done this year.
This also shows what a monster Miller Bats really is amongst other figures in this scale. Very happy with that one in particular! :D
